4. in the lower compartment 7 Unwrap the power cord and Ethernet connector in the cord bay Use a Phillips Screwdriver to remove the ten screws holding the faulty Cord Bay in place on the exterior wall 8 Taking care not to harm the Ethernet or Power Cords dislodge the cord bay from the MCS Remove the Strain Relief Bushing Work the Power Cord plug through the separation at the top left corner of the faulty Cord Bay 9 Measure and mark 15 75 inches 400 mm from the face of the female end of the new Power cord clamp the new strain relief bushing around the cord at the mark making sure that the wide end of the bushing is near the male exterior end if desired crimp bushing with pliers 10 Replace the faulty Cord Bay with the new Cord Bay pulling the Ethernet cable through the opening and work ing the power cord into the separation at the top left corner as described in Male End Exterior Female End Interior Step 8 11 Use a Phillips screwdriver to attach the new Cord Bay with the ten provided z replacemet screws Interior 15 75 400 mm 12 Use a 2 mm hex wrench to reattach the P clip in place around the power cord in the lower compartment 13 Close and lock the lower compart Exterior Bushing ment doors 14 Close and lock the upper compart ment doors CUSTOM SOLUTION FOR DELL BY ERGOTRON CORD BAY REPLACEMENT FOR SERVICE CALL 800 888 8458 IS NOW COMPLETE OR VISIT www ergotron com Dell m

TISSEMENT Unit rempla able par le client Un technicien certifi n est pas requis pour effectuer cette proc dure de remplacement Contenu de la trousse KO00960 e Baie de cables e 10 vis M4 e 1 bague anti traction Outils requis e Petite lampe de poche e Cle hexagonale de 2 mm e Tournevis cruciforme e R gle ou ruban mesurer Pri re d ex cuter les tapes pr alables num r es ici bas avant d essayer d installer ou d enlever TOUT mat riel de votre station de travail mobile Dell MCS tapes pr alables 1 D branchez le cordon d alimentation du MCS de la sortie d alimentation 2 D branchez le cable r seau du MCS de la sortie Ethernet CONSEILS Placez une toile de protection sous votre zone de travail pour r cup rer les pi ces d tach es e Utilisez une petite lampe de poche pour clairer les comparti ments int rieurs e Utilisez des outils magn tis s pour viter de perdre des attaches ou pour r cup rer des attaches qui sont tomb es Etapes pour le remplacement d une baie de cables 3 D verrouillez et ouvrez les portes du compartiment sup rieur portes 4 D verrouillez et ouvrez les portes du compartiment inf rieur 5 D branchez le cordon d alimentation branch dans la partie avant du boitier de contr le dans le compartiment inf rieur 888 97 075 W 01 rev B 08 09 Manuel de service 6 Utilisez une cl hexagonale de 2 mm Station de travail mobi
6. le Dell pour desserrer la vis qui tient le clip en P en place autour du cordon d alimentation dans le compartiment inf rieur i Cl hexagonale de 2 mm AA 7 D garnissez le cordon d alimentation et le connecteur Ethernet dans la baie de c bles Utilisez un tournevis cruci forme pour enlever les dix vis qui tien nent la baie de c ble d fectueuse en place sur la paroi ext rieure 8 En ayant soin de ne pas endommager le c ble Ethernet d logez la baie de cables du MCS Enlevez la bague anti traction Faites passer la fiche du cordon d alimentation par la s paration dans le coin Sup rieur gauche de la baie de c bles d fectueuse 9 Mesurez et marquez 15 75 pouces 400 mm partir du devant de la partie femelle du nouveau cordon d alimentation fixez la nouvelle bague anti traction autour du cordon la marque en vous assurant que la partie large de la bague se trouve proximit de la partie male ext rieur si vous voulez sertissez la bague avec les pinces 10 Remplacez la baie de c bles d fec tueuse par la nouvelle baie de c bles Extremite male Extremite femelle ext rieure Int rieur en tirant le cable Ethernet au travers de l ouverture et en for ant le cordon d alimentation au travers de la s para tion dans le coin sup rieur gauche comme d crit l tape 8 intenaur 15 75 400 mm 11 Utilisez un tournevis cruciforme pour remettre la baie de cables avec le
