Butane gas Model SE138KM Methane CH is calibrated to detect Methane which is a gas lighter than air Its density as to air is 0 55 and its LEL 5 v v Y volume Model SE138KX can be calibrated to the gases listed in Table 1 on page 6 If in the environment are present other gases not listed in this table we suggest to use the model SE138PX CALIBRATION The SE138K calibration and or verification should be carried out by using the TECNOCONTROL calibration kit Model TC011 Important note Both high pressure sample gas bottles with reducer and 1 litre gas bottles may be employed Use sample gas bottles with a mixture of 10 LEL and 20 LEL Gas in Air 20 9 Oxygen The catalytic sensors don t work without oxygen Note Calibration is carried out with sample gas The calibration routine is to be carried out by trained or authorised personnel only As an alternative it is advised to check the calibration without operating on the trimmers and in case the values are not the required ones please apply to our Laboratory Employ a right sized single slot screw driver to operate on the trimmer Remove the sensor s cover ALARM 1 calibration To verify or and calibrate the instrument use a sample bottle with the same 10 LEL spe cific gas air mixture which had been used to calibrate the unit Connect the sample gas bottle see fig 3 on page 6 to the flowmeter set the flowmeter on a 0 15 0 3 l min flow rate wait for 3 minutes and verify th
