When using the provided light shielding plate When the strobe is triggered by sensing the light from the camera s built in flash the light from the built in flash may be exposed in the image This can be prevented by using the provided light shielding plate 1 Attach the light shielding plate Fiber optic cable socket cap to the connector holders inside the front case using the fiber optic connector socket caps 2 Pop up the camera s built in flash and mount the camera in the housing Z CAUTION e When the light shielding plate is attached the camera s built in flash cannot be retracted with the flash closing lever of the housing E 16 External Controls Power switch OF By rotating the knob as shown you can _ Power switch turn the power ON OFF and operate the 4 illumination switch z amp Release mode dial Shooting mode dial Mode dial lock button While pressing the mode dial lock button rotate the release mode dial and shooting Release mode dial Shooting mode dial mode dial to make operation settings ya U By rotating the mode dial lock button while pressing it in you can fix it in the pressed in state Be sure to release the depressed mode dial lock button before setting the rear case Exposure compensation button Exposure mode Formatting memory cards button Flash mode Light control correction button While
4. body cap has no watertight capability e When attaching the port to the housing always refer to the instruction manual provided 1 Rotate the port lock lever on the z bottom of the front case toward Yi z until you hear the sound of it eis re clicking into the place Te 2 Align the positioning mark on the a front case with the OPEN mark on the port insert the port into Positioning mark the front case and then rotate the port in a clockwise direction until it stops Z CAUTION Before attaching the port make sure there are no specks of dust scratches or deformities on the O ring and the O ring contact surfaces 3 Make sure that the positioning Ger ISS mark on the front case and the p LOCK mark on the port are aligned Sem 4 Rotate the port lock lever toward a A until you hear the sound of it clicking into place 7 E 11 Attaching and Detaching the Port Detaching the port 1 Set the port lock to the position 2 Hold the front case firmly and rotate the port in a counterclockwise direction Z CAUTION Do not attempt to remove the port with the port lock lever in the position Doing so could damage the quick shoe base e If using NX 90PRO ports with 4 digit part numbers and black bayonets with this model it is necessary to modify the port s bayonet NX 90PRO ports wit
5. hold the right and left locks T and remove the locking latches T W from the hooks 2 a AJ Z CAUTION Lie e When removing the locking latches L be sure to use the tips of your fingers not your fingernails e If you lock the locking latch after it is removed from the hook it is easier to remove the rear case Opening and Closing the Housing Closing the locking latches 1 Attach the L hook to the front case 2 First put the right and left locking latches on the hooks 0 and close the locking latches simultaneously 2 Z CAUTION e Before aligning the rear case and front case make sure there are no specks of dust scratches or deformities on the O ring and the O ring contact surfaces e Check to make sure that the locking latches are securely locked E 10 Attaching and Detaching the Port In order to use this product underwater the optional port for the camera lens must be attached to this product CAUTION Only the optional ports designed for SEA amp SEA digital SLR camera housings can be attached to this product e Ports have different depth rating Check the depth rating for each before use This product is delivered with a housing body cap attached to the port mount Make sure to remove the housing body cap when attaching the port e The housing

7. the Housing P E 9 Make sure that the O ring is properly fitted in the O ring groove before setting of the rear case 1 Open the locking latches 2 Remove the rear case 3 Set the quick lock to the OPEN position 4 Slide the camera toward you as you remove the front case Z CAUTION e If you find the fix screws are too tight use a coin or similar object to loosen the screws E 14 Connecting the Strobe Connect the strobe with the fiber optic cable option when the strobe is triggered by sensing the light from the camera s built in flash 1 Remove the fiber optic cable Fiber optic cable socket cap socket caps 2 Insert the fiber optic cable s connector into the socket until it stops e Do not remove the caps from fiber optic cable socket not in use to keep light from entering in Z CAUTION e Before inserting the fiber optic cable check to make sure that there are no scratches or dirt on the connector surface Scratches or dirt may cause the strobe to malfunction To protect the surface from scratches or dirt do not remove the caps from the fiber optic cable sockets when the cable is not inserted e There is no possibility of water leaking from the fiber optic cable socket even if the fiber optic cable cable socket cap is removed underwater e After the strobe is connected to the housing make sure to check that the connected strobe functions correctly before underwater use E 15 Connecting the Strobe

13. e Optional Connector With the Optional YS Converter N 5 pin YS Converter N Sapin Connector Connector 50123 or Optional Sync Cord 2 pin Connector 50122 installed in the connector hole you can connect SEA amp SEA strobe sync cords Connect the cord of the synchro connector to the camera as illustrated below o Sync Cord 2 pin Connector Z CAUTION When connecting the strobe connector always refer to the instruction manual for the YS Converter N 5 pin Connector or Sync Cord 2 pin Connector i Optical YS Converter N D7100 A optical YS converter N D7100 can be attached to this product as an option For details on how to purchase it please inquire at our sales department or customer support service E 20 Attaching the Optional Accessories E Finder This product comes equipped with a 0 5x pick up finder The finder can be replaced with an optional finder so you can change the finder magnifi cation to match your shooting conditions Replacing the finder Unit The optional VF45 1 2x 46111 or VF180 1 2x 46112 enhances magnification by 1 2x and enables subtle framing and focusing of subjects Z CAUTION e When replacing the finder unit always refer to the instruction manual provided with the VF45 1 2x or VF180 1 2x e You may encounter some difficulties to access the delete button function if VF45 1 2x is installed on the housing To avoid this problem manufacturer suggests usi
14. ease you apply will be sucked into the blue O rings due to their special characteristics which will result in insufficient grease If this happens even once the O ring will not revert to its normal state and must be replaced e If the grease is insufficient the O ring will not slide and it will become harder to open and close the waterproof parts Because of this it could become impossible to open or close the housing or it could cause flooding so please refrain from using the housing with insufficient grease Are there any scratches or cracks in the O ring Check the O ring to make sure there are no scratches or cracks If there are replace the O ring with a new one immediately When handling the O ring do not use pointed metal objects which could damage the O ring Use of the included O ring remover is recommended O ring remover Be careful about dust sand and hair Check the O ring to make sure that there is no dust sand or hair on the O ring in the O ring s grooves or on the O ring s contact surfaces If any of these things are attached remove them completely If used as is these things could cause flooding Precautions on Handling the O ring Coat with silicone grease Silicone grease protects the O ring from chafing After checking the O ring to make sure that there are no scratches dust or gt debris apply a light coating of silicone grease to the entire O ring with your finger A
15. h 5 digit part numbers and gray bayonets can be used as is For details please contact SEA amp SEA or a SEA amp SEA authorized dealer E 12 Mounting the Camera in the Housing CAUTION e Make sure to release the camera s focus selector lock e Remove the strap or the LCD monitor cover from the camera if any of these accessories are attached 1 Rotate the quick lock in the OPEN direction Q and then remove the quick shoe from the front case 2 2 Switch the camera s focus mode selector to M 3 With the A groove on the quick shoe aligned with the focus mode selector fix the quick shoe on the camera s tripod socket 4 Attach the lens to the camera Fixing screw 5 Rotate the power switch on the housing so that it is facing the same way as the power switch on the camera 6 Make sure the quick lock is in the OPEN position Mounting the camera in the Housing 7 Align the quick shoe with the quick shoe base and slide the camera fully forward into the front case To make sure that the gear attached to the lens and the gear on the front case do not hit each other rotate the focus zoom dial while sliding the camera into place 8 Align the quick lock with the LOCK position to fix the camera in place O Attach the L hook to the front case e Be sure to release the depressed mode dial lock button before setting the rear case L hook 10 Close the locking latches See Opening and Closing
