40. the speaker is placed closer to the center of a room When operating the speaker always use the cover as a stand Do not lay the speaker on its back Sound is emitted from both the front and rear of the unit 10 The speaker should not be placed in small areas that are enclosed on all sides except the front as this will adversely affect sound quality Do not place the speaker on wet or dirty surfaces Doing so could transfer dirt sand or moisture onto the speaker when the cover is closed If you are using your speaker outdoors you should expect the tonal quality to change as you move farther from the speaker English OPERATION Connecting to AC power Before using your new SoundLink Wireless Mobile speaker the first time you should connect it to AC mains power To connect to AC power 1 Depending on your region of the world do one of the following to prepare your power pack for use A Unfold the prongs from the power pack body OR B Slide the AC adapter for your region into the power pack A Unfold prongs B Slide AC adapter into power pack AC adapter Power pack 11 OPERATION 2 Plug the DC power cord on the power A tone is emitted from the speaker to confirm supply into the DC connector on the connection to AC power and charging SoundLink speaker begins 3 Plug the power supply into a live AC You can immediately use your SoundLink mains outlet speaker once
