8. ecessary however both these infinity stops and the spare ones can be adjusted as follows l Return all camera and lens standard movements to their neutral position including the focusing track and tighten all locks 2 With a lens in place and the camera on a tripod open the lens shutter and the lens diaphragm to its maximum aperture 3 Select some tall distant object to focus on at least 500 meters or 1 500 feet away such as a chimney or antenna Aim the camera so that the object appears on the center of the ground glass 4 While squeezing the lens standard pull out grips together so that the lens standard moves freely on the focusing track find the point of sharpest focus for the distant object Leave the lens standard at that location Do not use the focusing knobs for this operation 5 Loosen the set screws for one pair of infinity stops swing up the stops and slide the pair tightly against the lens standard Tighten the set screws to hold the infinity stops at that location while making sure the lens standard is perfectly parallel to the film plane The lens in use will now be focused at infinity when the lens standard is pulled out to those infinity stops 7 YE CAMERA MOVEMENTS Ag Key 15E Sy FRET AD eee PPS 2 105 BETHIK TO anit 1 Drop Bed 15 By pushing down both bed braces 25 the bed can be dropped to a position which is 105 from the front of the camera body TK Sy KIT LER Ye AAS Se y FERES
