6. 3 1 7kof m 28 5 32 4N m 29 33kgf m 60 66M n 6 1 6 7kof m 40 4 1 5 1kof m 40 4 1 5 1kof m Only when coming off Thenormal catalyst converter is used 23 5 27 4N n 24 2 7kof m Catalytic converters Please spread srroothing paste on to all or straight front pipe etc bolts to prevent buring Installation procedure 1 The Thermo Bandage meterial is wrapped around the outlet and a front pipe and is secured by bandage band bandage rraterial should be soaked into water prior to installation Then thouroughly squeeze out any excess water Pont wrap the bandage rreterial around the flexible portion of a front pipe Thie will cause damage uts amp remove any unnecessary length with a cutting blade Be carefull when cutting the bandage material wth a cutting blade or any sharp objects Remove the front 02 sensor from the original exhaust manifold and reinstall it into the new Tomei manifold Please be careful and make sure that the right amp left O2 sensors are reinstalled into the correct sides Insert and attach each gasket to the cylinder head Attach gasket A Above figure and tighten to 28 5 2 2 9 3 3kqf m A Install it again on the stud bolt on the cylinder head side Tightening torque 12 7 16 7M 1 3 1 7kof Be careful of the direction of the gasket Round press Install the gasket so that the round
7. e air cleaner and an air duct Remove engine undercover 1 WN Remove Rear oxygen sensor x Be sure to label the left and right O2 sensors Remove the bracket between the right and left catalyst converter attached to the transmissions Remove the catalyst converter 6 7 8 Remove a front O2 sensor connector 9 Remove a radiator drain plug and a radiator cap and remove cooling water LLC 10 Remove the upper water pipe and upper heater pipe of Exhaust manifold on both sides 11 Remove Exhaust manifold cover 12 Remove the steering shaft lower joint Make sure the steering wheel is straight Lowe shaft when removing the joint Be sure to nerk this area wth a scribing tool NOTE since working on the rotating Steering wheel and Steering shaft there 5 a risk of creating a gap after reinstallation this process must be perforrred by a SDL rear icover professional as the can cause failure of the Air bag cables amp the center of Steering Steering amp VDC controls affected Marking of This can cause a serious accident ASSY 13 Remove Exhaust manifold 2 Installation of TOMEI Exhaust Manifold Diagram for each bolt and gasket The components and hardware used is labeled below 6 pieces lt 2815 usedin kt ad tre tgtierirg torque spacs gt the manifold Catalyst converter lt Normal used pa Only when coming off 12 7 16 7N n 1
8. pressed side of the gasket is against the cylinder head Install Steering shaft lower joint Tightening torque 23 5 29 4M n 2 4 2 9 m AN Make sure wnen starting that the steering wheel is in a straight line Align the joint and re attach the bolt holding the joint in place NOTE since working on the rotating Steering wheel and Steering shaft there 5 a risk of creating a gap after reinstallation this process must be performed by professional as the Gap can cause failure of the Air bag cables amp the center of Steering gear Steering amp VDC controls are affected Marking of 78 This cause serious accident ASSY L The catalyst converter or the straight front pipe are installed separately Make sure to fit the new gaskets when connecting these pieces X Attached gasket B Ref previous page 2 Tightening the nuts to Previous 34 3 39 2Nn 3 5 4 0kof m Genuine nuts will use Previous page 2 60 66 n 6 1 6 7kaf m Install it again on stud bolt cylinder head side Tightening torque 23 5 27 24 2 7kgf m Install the coupler similar to the removed one in rear O2 sensor connector When you remove other genuine Exhaust Manifolds return the removed circunference parts A Install the new O rings for the O2 sensor connection 7 Re attach a battery minus terminal 3 inportant checks after installation
