CD gt Ol Warranty If the watch fails to operate under normal operation conditions within the warranty period return it to the shop in which you purchased it or to our service center along with its warranty card We will repair or asjust your watch while it is under warranty free of charge The terms of warranty are described on the warranty card Period repair parts will be available Normally the repair parts for this watch will be available for ten years after production of the watch is discontinued Repair parts These mechanical components in the watch movement can be replaced if necessary Other external parts not directly related to the function such as the case crystal fase hands or crown are not considered repair parts covered under the warranty Replacement of these non repair parts may use parts different from the originals Repair period As rule repair of the watch is possible for the same period that repair parts are available In some cases the precision cannot be restored by repairing the watch Therefore make sure to consult the shop which the watch was purchased for repair requests Moving and gift item If you cannot return to the shop where the watch was purchased contact your local service center for repairs Other inquiries If there are any other questions concerning warranty and service contact your local service center

7. 5 The watch will run for approximately 48 hours after the coil spring is fully wound However if the chronograph is used it will run less than 48 hours 6 We recommend that you wear the watch on your wrist at least eight hours per day to maintain the stated precision Incomplete winding may cause the time shown to be advanced or delayed from the actual time If you want to use the watch without wearing it on your wrist we recommend that you manually wind the coil spring fully at a certain time each day How to adjust time and date After the second hand starts to move adjust the time and date How to adjust time When the second hand is at the 0 seconds position pull the crown out to the 2nd step The second hand will stop moving Turn the crown clockwise to adjust the watch to the current time Turn the crown clockwise and the hand will advance Since this watch has a calendar function please do not confuse the AM and PM settings when adjusting the time The watch will change the date at 0 00 AM In order to adjust the time precisely first advance the hand a few minutes past the current time Then move the hand back slowly to the correct time Press the crown into the normal position 0 step ao step step How to adjust the time Do not adjust the date between 9 00 PM and 2 00 AM since the watch is changing the date during that period If you adjust the date during this interval

11. and duration of luminance which depend on the amount of light energy stored will vary according to the watch glass shape paint thickness ambient brightness distance between the watch and light source and degree of light beam absorption Please note that if insufficient light energy is stored the intensity of luminance will be weak or the duration of luminance may be short For extended use 1 Maintenance of the case and watchband Dirt and moisture on the case watchband may interfere with the watch functions cause skin rashes in people with susceptible skin or soil a person s cuffs or clothing To ensure long use use a Soft cloth to wipe off any dirt and moisture and keep the watch clean at all times Since the watchband makes direct contact with the skin remove any dirt periodically as described below Case Wipe off any dirt using a soft cloth etc Do not use any chemicals because they may discolor the case Metal watchband Wash the dirty parts using a soft toothbrush dipped in soapy water If the watch is left dirty corrosion may form Leather band Wipe off any moisture or dirt using a dry soft cloth Be careful not to scrub the band or it may become discolored Soft plastic band It is not necessary to take special care of urethane or nylon watchbands However since some kinds of dirt may irritate the skin wash the band with plain or soapy water occasionally Do not use chemicals that might deteriorate

13. case back or watch face Confirm an inscnption of water proofness given on the face or back of the watch and use correctly according to the adove mentioned scopes of availability AN CAUTION Make sure the crown is pushed in normal position when using the watch If your watch has screw lock type crown and button make sure the crown and button is securely tightened Do not turn or pull the crown or button under the water or while it is wet Water may enter the watch and degrade its water proof capability If you have a watch that is not water proof pay attention to even temporary water exposure splashing water while washing your face standing in the rain etc or sweat If the watch becomes wet from water or sweat wipe it off using a dry soft cloth Even if you are wearing a watch that is water proof for everyday use do not expose it directly to powerful flow of water running from a faucet Water pressure beyond the specified limit can be encountered and that may deteriorate the water proof operation of the watch If a watch with reinforced water proof qualities for everyday use is immersed in sea water rinse the watch case with fresh water thoroughly Then wipe the watch dry to prevent rust If a leather watchband is dipped in the water it may lose its durability and be discolored or unglued When using the watch in the water replace the watchband with other material metal or rubber in advance
14. the band The material may harden crack or break In this case replace it with a new watchband Mercury such as found in a thermometer on the case watchband Chemicals may cause the watch or band to change color Tighten the band so that you can just slip one finger between the band and your wrist in order to allow air to circulate Do not store the leather band in high temperature or high humidity conditions 2 Cleaning the rotating bezel Dirt may get stuck to a wristwatch with a rotating bezel and degrade its operation Clean off any dirt using a soft toothbrush 3 Recommendation for repairs and checks Repairs other than replacing the band must be performed by the watch manufacturer Checking or disassembly and cleaning must also only be done by the manufacturer Please insist on repairs by the manufacturer at the shop where you purchased the watch Or ask an Orient Watch Service Center We recommend having the watch checked once every 2 to 3 years for lubrication oil sweat and moisture contamination Depending on the results the watch may need to be adjusted or repaired When having the watch checked we recommend replacing the seals and other consumable parts in order to maintain its water proof performance Also replace the watchband as needed When parts are replaced please insist on genuine parts Warranty and service Make sure to read the warranty card
