EDs of the battery charger Battery charger The battery charger is designed for maintenance free gel and low maintenance acid lead batteries with a nominal voltage of 24 V and a nominal capacity of C5 50 80 Ah The charger can operate along two charging profiles to offer optimal charging of both kinds of batteries The required profile is factory set for every wheelchair in accordance with the kind of battery the wheelchair is equipped with If the battery charger is used with another wheelchair or if new batteries are installed the charging profile must be checked The charging profile can be changed by means of a switch located at the bottom of the charger covered by a green adhesive label Two different kinds of flashing signals at the beginning of the charging process indicate the current setting 1x flashing low maintenance acid 2x flashing maintenance free gel Note D The control unit must be turned off during the charging process In this way the charging current is fed exclusively into the battery Yellow LED is lit gt gt Battery is being charged Green LED is lit gt gt Battery is fully charged Yellow LED flashes J gt gt Error Defective battery or poor connection Na CED IE gt gt No power supply defective battery charger A full charging cycle takes approximately 8 hours When the charging process is complete disconnect the battery charger from the mains supply Then disconnect the c
