1. H LINK Control input for T A devices with H LINK output RCIN If you wish to control the machine with a remote control handset then the accessories T A E2000 remote control receiver can be connected to this socket Mains input This socket is for mains connection For correct connection refer to the sections INSTALLATION AND WIRING and SAFETY NOTES Back panel controls AMP MODE This switch is used to select the Stereo or High Current Mono operating mode Please refer to the wiring diagram see Appendix A for the correct method of connecting the A 3000 HV in Stereo and High Current Mono mode INPUT SELECT This switch selects the type of connection in use Set the switch to Balanced if you wish to use the symmetrical XLR sockets or Unbalanced if using the Cinch asymmetrical connections 25 Installation and wiring Carefully unpack the unit and store the original packing material carefully The carton and packing are specially designed for this unit and will be needed again if you wish to move the equipment at any time Please read the safety notes in these instructions If the unit gets very cold g when being transported condensation may form inside it Please do not switch it on until it has had plenty of time to warm up to room temperature so that any condensation evaporates completely Before placing the unit on sensitive laquer or wood surfaces please check the compatibility of2. The A 3000 HV features complete and consistent channel separation in the signal processing stages double mono construction and for this reason the input and output sockets are also arranged in strict symmetry relative to the centre of the machine IN IN UNBALANCED asymmetrical signal inputs Asymmetrical amplifier input Cinch with an input sensitivity of 1 5 Ver The Cinch sockets Left and Right Channel are connected to the pre amplifier s output sockets of the same name see Appendix A IN BALANCED symmetrical signal inputs Symmetrical amplifier input XLR with an input sensitivity of 3 0 Ver Input for pre amplifiers with symmetrical outputs The XLR sockets Left and Right Channel should be connected to the pre amplifiers sockets of the same name see Appendix A A The appropriate type of connection UNBALANCED or BALANCED must be selected using the INPUT SELECT switch In Mono mode please use the left hand socket High Current Mono Input K A and 4 Loudspeaker terminals The 3000 HV is equipped with two pairs of loudspeaker terminals The terminals are plated with a layer of highly conductive corrosion resistant rhodium in order to ensure excellent electrical contact with minimum transfer resistance Always use high quality loudspeaker cable with forked speaker lugs to connect your loudspeakers Bi Wiring The two pairs of terminals are ideally suited for use in the bi wiring arrangement i
3. 26 Loudspeaker and signal cables Mains cables and mains filters We recommend the use of POWER BAR mains distribution panel which is fitted with a phase indicator as standard When you have completed the wiring of the system switch the system on Switch on the loudspeaker outlet to which your speakers are connected and switch the integrated amplifier to the listening source which you wish to hear You should now hear the music If you encounter problems when setting up and using the integrated amplifier for the first time please remember that the cause is often simple and equally simple to eliminate Please refer to the section of these instructions entitled Trouble shooting Loudspeaker cables and signal cables inter connects have a significant influence on the overall reproduction quality of your sound system and their importance should not be under estimated For this reason recommends the use of high quality cables and connectors Our accessory range includes a series of excellent cables and connectors whose properties are carefully matched to our speakers and electronic units and which harmonise outstandingly well with them For difficult and cramped situations the T A range also includes special length cables and special purpose connectors e 0 right angled versions which can be used to solve almost any problem concerning connections and system location The mains power supply provides the energy w

40. tion they are intended to help the user understand how to get the best out of the machine Front panel controls POWER OUTPUT POWER OUTPUT OROROORO A 3000 HV TA All the important functions of the A 3000 HV can be controlled using the sensor buttons on the front panel All information pertaining to the machine s status is displayed by symbols The following explains in greater detail the functions of the front panel buttons and the meaning of the symbols On Off switch Touching the button briefly switches the device on off When the machine is initially switched on a certain amount of time elapses before all the amplifier stages reach their optimum working point During this period the speaker buttons flash power on delay As soon as the machine is ready for use it switches speaker outputs A and B to their previous status i e their status when the amplifier was last switched off The button remains dimly lit even in stand by mode to indicate that the A 3000 HV is ready for use Caution The mains button is not an isolation switch Certain parts of the machine remain connected to mains voltage even when the screen is switched off and dark If you know you will not be using the machine for a long period we recommend that you disconnect it from the mains by withdrawing the mains plug from the wall socket Please see the chapter entitled Notes on Energy Sav
