2. until the clamp relocks 4 Press the dust cover down gently e After detaching the filter wash it lightly with water dry it GRILLE FILTER in the shade and then insert it in its original position e Close the dust cover alles 2 OUTLET FILTER e The outlet filter which the air comes out from the vacu INLET um cleaner i fX H R x E 4 LA DQ Ny j JS o e Open the dust cover and then pull the hook upward located at the front of the grille filter e Remove and replace the exhausted outlet filter e Close the grille filter and then close the dust cover VACUUMING WITH THE POWER BRUSH 1 Attaching the Power Brush The hose must be plugged into the canister and the power brush must be plugged into the hose and extension wand see page 3 2 Vacuuming e For best results move the power brush slowly using short overlap ping strokes e For heavily soiled areas repeat strokes in several directions e Turn height adjustment knob to match the surface being cleaned optional DJ68 00079M US 7 28 01 2 06 PM Page 9 cb NCAUTION Do not invert the power brush while it is running 3 Checking the Performance of the Power Brush You may check whether the power brush is operating correctly by lifting up the extension tube slightly to view the back of the brush The Power Brush will not operate when it is jammed or the unit

4. 01 2 06 PM Page 4 cb PARTS IDENTIFICATION HANDLE ON OFF SWITCH SUCTION CONTROL DUST FULL INDICATOR CORD REWIND BUTTON EXTENSION POWER CONTROL WANDS SWITCH HELGHT ADJUSTMENT HEAD LIGHT a CORD CLIPS ON OFF SWITCH POWER BRUSH ELECTRICAL CORD POWER BRUSH BUTTON FOR SUCTION HOSE REMOVAL DUST FULL INDICATOR If the Dust Full indicator switches to RED while you are cleaning the dust bag is full and must be replaced JNOTE If the Dust Full indicator continues to display RED even after changing the dust bag turn the cleaner off and check whether the hose tube or noz zle is clogged DJ68 00079M US 7 28 01 2 06 PM Page 5 dD ASSEMBLING THE VACUUM CLEANER FOR USE Attaching the Hose to the Canister Slide the Hose Clamper into the Canister Inlet until it clicks into place Fig A A Assembling the Extension Wand Slide the narrow end of one Extension Wand section into the other Wand Extension Fig A B Depress the locking button with your thumb and continue sliding the Extensions together Turn the Wands in opposite directions until the locking button snaps into the hole in the other Wand Make sure the locking button snaps into place completely Attaching the Extension Wand to the Hose Slide the handle end of the Hose over the end of the Wand with a locking button Fig A C Turn the Hose and Wand in opposit
