1. Troubleshooting the Dogpound Remove all trays from the machine and plug into a properly grounded outlet 1 Flip on Master Switch If it lights up continue No light replace switch 2 Slowly turn the thermostat knob starting at 0 and listen for a faint click This will indicate the thermostat 1s reading room temperature and functioning properly No Click Bad Thermostat 3 Reach inside the machine on the right and manually lift the float switch while watching the add water light If light functions properly continue If light does not function unplug machine open control panel and inspect wires If wires are in tact replace float switch 4 With Machine plugged into properly grounded outlet turn thermostat all the way up and manually lift thermostat for approximately twenty seconds Quickly Tap or Hold hand above element and feel for heat If there is no heat either the element or relay is bad To decide which see step 5 D 5 Unplug machine and remove control panel Locate element terminals and apply multi meter leads to read the Ohms A fully functional element will read approximately 12 13 Ohms for 120 Volts machines and 48 49 for 220 Volt machines No Ohms Replace Element Ohms Ok Replace Relay
