8. being used and to the energy source involved CUSTOMER SERVICE 1 888 707 1880 33 Dyaco Canada Inc 2014 There is little transfer of the effects of exercise e from strength training to cardiovascular fitness That is why it is important to have an exercise program tailored to your specific needs Reversibility lf you stop exercising or do not do your program often enough you will lose the benefits you have gained Regular workouts are the key to success Warm Up Every exercise program should start with a warm up where the body is prepared for the effort to come It should be gentle and preferably use the muscles to be involved later Stretching should be included in both your warm up and cool down and should be performed after 3 5 minutes of low intensity aerobic activity or callisthenic type exercise Warm Down or Cool Down This involves a gradual decrease in the intensity of the exercise session Following exercise a large supply of blood remains in the working muscles If it is not returned promptly o the central circulation pooling of blood may occur in the muscles Heart Rate As you exercise so the rate at which your heart beat also increases This is often used as a measure of the required intensity of exercise You need to exercise hard enough to condition your circulatory system and increase your pulse rate but not enough to strain your heart Your initial level of fitness is important in developing an exercise program for

10. letter of your name Press Enter Repeat this process until the last letter of your name is flashing Press Stop to accept your User name The message window will ask you to enter your age Enter your age using the Level A V keys Press the Enter key to accept the new number and proceed on to the next screen You are now asked to enter your weight Adjust the weight setting using the Level A V keys Press Enter to continue Next is Time Adjust the total program time using the Level A V keys Press Enter to continue Now you are asked to adjust the TOP level This is the peak exertion level you will experience during the program Adjust the level and then press Enter Now the message window will ask you to adjust the first segment level for Resistance use the Level A V keys to adjust When you finish adjusting the first segment or if you don t want to change it then press Enter to continue to the next segment The next segment will show the same level as the previously adjusted segment Repeat the same process as the last segment then press Enter Continue this process until all twenty segments have been sel Repeat the same process for Incline segments For the Incline segments you will us the Incline A V keys The message window will ask you to press Enter to save the program After saving the program press Start to begin If you want to adjust the Resistance or Incline at any time during the program press the Level or Incline A V keys
