1. One of my former German colleague in the Physikalisches Institut der Universitat Bonn Dr Ulrich Langenfeld wanted to give the students some exercises about these boxes and asked me how we can draw these boxes in LT X I gave him my solutions which I made earlier Section 4 1 But I am actually not satisfied with them because they are still too complicate at least for a lazy guy like me So I decided to improve my definitions and two days later I have a set of very simpler newcommands Section 4 2 Note that before you use my clshan YoungTableaux package you have to set up three parameters as following Setup before usepackage def Youngunit 0 5cm def YoungsepT 0 05cm def YoungsepB 0 1 cm usepackage clshan YoungTableaux Here the Youngunit indicates the size of one box in the Young Tableaux the YoungsepT and YoungsepB indicate the vertical separations between the Young Tableaux and the text in the last and the next lines where the T and B stand for top and bottom The set up of these three parameters given above is just my suggestions For sure you can choose your favorite size and distances of separations 4 1 Putting the boxes one by one About three years ago I defined the following newcommand in order to draw the Young Tableaux when I did some exercises about it Definition 85
