1. gt CAUTION gt DANGER gt CAUTION gt CAUTION gt DANGER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND OWNERS MANU Overhead Lifter Operator IMPORTANT PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO COMMENCING THE INSTALLATION OF THE OPERATOR UNIT This Automatic Opener has been designed to provide years of trouble free use The opener will perform efficiently only if it is installed and operated properly READ THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY RULES FIRST Keep garage door balanced Sticking or binding doors must be repaired Garage doors door springs brackets and their hardware are under extreme tension and can cause serious personal injury Do not attempt adjustment Call for professional garage door service Do not wear rings watches or loose clothing while installing or servicing a garage door operator Installation and wiring must be in compliance with your local building and electrical codes Connect the power cord only to properly earthed mains The safety reverse system test is very important Your garage door must reverse when obstructed on closing Failure to properly adjust the operator may result in serious personal injury from a closing garage door Repeat the test once a month and make any needed adjustments See Sensitivity adjustment This unit should not be installed in a damp or wet space Use the manual release lever to disengage the motor drive ONLY when the drive is switched OFF and if possible when

S WHEN FULLY SHUT Check top Limit Switch setting Adjust if necessary SHORT RANGE REMOTE CONTROL Remote Control should give minimum of 6m range Check battery is correctly fitted in Transmitter Try new battery Move aerial and try in different orientations keeping away from steel structures and electrical cables DOOR OPERATES BuT FAILS To FULLY OPEN BuT REVERSES TO CLOSED POSITION Change Motor Wire Spade Connectors Reset limits Readjust Sensitivity Adjustment POWER FAILURE To disengage Pull manual release lever red in colour forward refer fig 1 To engage Push manual release lever backwards Push the slide trolley until it clicks into place over the red bobbin refer fig 1 SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT This unit has been factory pre set at 50 sensitivity If more sensitivity is required rotate adjustment knob with No 1 Phillips Screw Driver in a clockwise rotation until desired effect If more downward force is required turn adjustment knob anti clockwise Refer Figure 10 Do not turn knob past 45 in either direction as damage will be caused to the sensitivity adjustment pot Note This reversing system should be used in conjunction with our optional Photo Eye Protection Remove 2 screws from Control Cover to access circuit board then locate connection J8 Jumper Slide black cover over the jumper this will then increase upward force Reassemble control box cover and test Check door still operates
5. and is properly balanced N B Special care should be taken if de tensioning of the door is required IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL SUPPLIER OF THIS PRODUCT pe STEP 1 Slide Trolley Assembly on to Shaft Feed Electric Cable for Push Button and optional Photo Eye Protection down centre of shaft Thread Cables through hole in centre of main body Allow Cable to have sufficient length to be attached to Logic Board in cover Figure 10 and 12 Slide Shaft into main housing STEP 2 Separate Front Support Assembly to expose Chain Sprocket Electric Cables to be placed in groove utilising holes in plastic assembly for exit Place Chain around Sprocket in Front Support Assembly Assemble other half of Support Assembly Slide Front Support Assembly into Shaft STEP 3 Attach Chain from Front Support Assembly to trolley Place Chain around Sprocket at main body Refer Figure 3a and attach to trolley Assembly Figure 3 Tighten Bolts so that Chain is tensioned Do not over tension Tighten Lock Nuts Make sure the teeth of both sprockets are engaged in the chain and the chain is not twisted MOUNTING OPERATOR SE STEP 1 Open door and find highest point of travel of top panel using level Transfer this height to the lintel then mark a line 50mm above this point If possible the Operator should be attached to the lintel at the centre of the opening As per Figure 4 STEP 2 Atta
6. ch Front Support Brackets to lintel as per Figure 5 Note This Bracket will need to be fastened to solid material STEP 3 With the Front Support Bracket firmly secured attach the Front Support Bracket using the 1 15mm bolt and nut supplied Note Leave Control Box in cardboard box for protection STEP 4 Raise Operator from ground and support in a horizontal position Use of ladder and packing is advisable Then open the door allowing the Operator to rest on the door panel with a scrap piece of timber no thicker than 25mm to support the weight Secure the Operator to the ceiling using Perforated Angle Not supplied Note The Operator must be securely fastened to the ceiling Failure to do this may cause Operator failure with the possibility of serious injury to person s or property INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ASSEMBLY OF SHAFT ONAL DOOR Figure 1 Nore Trolley must be on left hand side of door looking from inside out STRAIGHT PIPE MANUAL RELEASE LEVER SLIDE TROLLEY Sig CENTRE LINE EE STEP 5 Std Headroom Secure Door Bracket to stile in centre of door so that pivot point is level with shaft of outer rollers Figure 8 Limit Headroom Secure Door Bracket to stile at the top of door Only use Straight Arm to fix to trolley slide STEP 6 Assemble bent and straight arm with nuts and bolts supplied Std Headroom only and attach to door brackets and carria

8. ge slide Figure 9 SETTING TOP AND BOTTOM LIMITS Figure 10 ConTROL Box STEP 1 Remove two screws from Control Box Cover See Figure 10 STEP 2 Top limit cam T controls open position of door Bottom limit cam B controls closed position of door See Figure 11 Slightly loosen the three retaining screws so that the cams can be easily moved See Figure 11 STEP 3 Push Button on Control Box until red Tensioning Assembly is half way along shaft Move door so that Trolley Assembly engages red Tensioning Assembly Lock in by moving red toggle STEP 4 a Push Button on Control Box making sure to watch direction of cam Adjust cam to desired open or closed position depending on travel of Trolley Assembly Push Button on Control Box to drive door in opposite direction Adjust cam to suit STEP 5 Tighten the three retaining screws so that the cams will not move STEP 6 Check up and down stop positions by pressing the button on the a Control Box lever Figure 10 Allow door to travel full cycle STEP 7 If you are achieving these stop positions then replace the Control Box Cover plate If not then reset the limit cams Steps 2 to 7 after first turning off the mains power WARNING Do not run door on power through its full travel until the limits are correctly set This operator has been designed with an Auto Close Option If required before re assembling Control Box Lid by changing Dill Switch se

10. the door is fully closed Do not use the force adjustments to compensate for a binding or sticking garage door Excessive force will interfere with the proper operation of the Safety Reverse System or damage the garage door Disengage all existing garage door locks to avoid damage to garage door Install the Push Buttons in a location where the garage door is visible but out of the reach of children Do not allow children to operate push button s or remote control s Serious personal injury from a closing garage door may result from misuse of the operator CAUTION Activate operator only when the door is in full view free of obstructions and operator is properly adjusted No one should enter or leave the garage while the door is in motion Do not allow children to play near the door Disconnect electric power to the garage door operator before making repairs or removing covers IMPORTANT Fix the caution label supplied to the rear of the garage door as a reminder of safe operating procedures PRE INSTALLATIC Check that there is sufficient Headroom and back clearances to fit the Operator Unit Headroom required is 50mm above of the door in the open position or lifting equipment which ever is the higher If the operator is being fitted at the same time as the new door installation read these instructions in conjunction with the door installation instructions i If the operator is being retrofitted make sure the door operates smoothly
11. tting on the Logic Board The following can be achieved Refer Figure 12 Dill Switch Number 3 4 No Auto Close Off Off Auto Close After 30 sec On Off Auto Close After 60 sec Off On Auto Close After 90 sec On On The optional Photo Eye Protection must be used for the above option Door WILL NOT OPERATE FROM A Push Button on Power Head Box Check power is on to Power Head Red LED illuminated IF NOT check mains plug and fuse Motor wiring connections properly engaged Manual release lever in engaged position Limit Switch cams correctly set i e upper Limit Switch for fully open position lower Limit Switch for fully closed position Move door manually to half closed position and try again Try operation with Hand Transmitter Try operation with Wall Push Button B On Hand Transmitter Check door operates correctly using the Push Button on Power Head to prove system is okay Try recoding Transmitter Check battery in Transmitter is correctly fitted L E D should illuminate Try new battery Move aerial manually and try in different orientations keeping it away from steel structures and electrical cables Door OPERATES BuT FAIL TO FULLY OPEN OR REVERSES BEFORE CLOSING Check manual operation for correct balance not binding Adjust if necessary Spray silicone lubricant into tracks Do not grease Check adjust safety sensitivity setting Check limits BANGS HARD ON GROUND AND REVERSE
