Virtual Classroom Adobe Connect Sound troubleshooting Participants Requirements e You must use a headset with a microphone jacks or USB connection e You must run the Audio setup wizard well in advance of your first virtual classroom Adobe Connect session o Visit the sound testing room https meet ug edu au soundtesting Click on the Meeting button in the menu bar o Select Audio Setup Wizard from the drop down menu O Meeting k Audio Setup Wizard Follow the prompts in the wizard Make sure you select the headset microphone Below is only an example O O Select Microphone To broadcast audio using Adobe Connect choose a recording device below Dock Mic IDT High Definition Audio CODEC If you are not sure which device to pick click Next and Adobe Connect will choose for you If you are not using Adobe Connect for broadcast audio click Cancel to quit the wizard e If you have added a new device to your computer you must run the Audio setup wizard again the headset microphone may not still be selected Headset e lf the headset with microphone has a switch halfway along the cord check that it is not switch off e lf using a headset with microphone that has jack connection make sure the jacks are plugged into the correct outlet on your computer Computer settings e Check that the volume on the computer is not muted oa 9 4 a B Nils Pe at 4 20 02 2012 e Check2. thatthe computer master volume is up at an acceptable level e Check the microphone volume is up at an acceptable level Control Panel gt Sound gt Recording Adobe Connect room settings e urn on your microphone The room Host must have given your rights o Click on the icali Audio button in the menu bar o Select Connect My Audio from the drop down menu T LJ T o T F T ih Shape Connect My Audio a ae zl e Check your microphone volume in the room o Click onthe he A Audio button in the menu bar o Select Adjust Microphone Volume from the drop down menu Mute My Microphone Disconnect My Microphone Adjust Microphone Volume Page 2 of 3 Further help If you are still having trouble with your sound settings contact Students Asklt gt http www library ug edu au ask it contact us Prepared by Ailsa Dickie Last modified 8 May 2012 Page 3 of 3
