GRAF PLASTIC AUSTRALIA BARRIER OB1800 HANDLING AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS aa gt f ua t E s ta a ram INTRODUCTION The Barrier is a landmark throughout Australia and abroad It is to be found in many public and private commercial spaces The barrier is a roto moulded high grade plastic product which serves the essential purpose of assisting with traffic control It should be noted that the barrier must be used in conformance with all state and federal laws and standards and in particular should be used in situation specific circumstances MANUAL HANDLING The barrier is a large bulky product the manual handling and loading off loading of the product must be handled with care Through use and wear and tear there may be rough surfaces so gloves should be used when handling Further there are specific loading handling instructions embossed on the unit CAUTION SIGN ON BARRIER Take care with the link pin as it can move within the barrier itself and cause finger injury INSTALLATION Installation of the barrier must conform to local Shire state and federal traffic laws and the relevant Australian Standards It is not the purpose of this document to outline all of these regulations and it is the user responsibility to familiarise themselves with any standards that make these units fit for use application These are some of the more important guidelines e Barrier is NOT a crash bar2. rier e Barrier in use must be ballasted e Barriers should be interlinked for maximum safety e Barriers on site to be checked regularly for breaks leaks and movement e Barrier visibility should not be impaired ie blocked covered etc NOT A CRASH BARRIER LINK PIN IN POSITION LINK BY LIFTING PIN AND INSERTING SECOND BARRIER MAINTENENCE and REPAIR Barriers are easy to clean and maintain Cracks and leaks can be plastic welded and stickers bungs replaced RECYCLING Once the barriers come to the end of their useful life they are fully recycled for reuse of the material in other applications PLEASE REFER ANY QUERIES TO GRAF PLASTIC AUSTRALIA
