3. ction just before placing the item on the scale or the display will show 0 Instructions for the Tare Weighing Function The Scale allows you to weigh each additional item as it is added to the scale After weighing the first item on the scale and with the first item still on the scale press the On Off Tare button to reset the scale to zero Add the second item to the scale The scale will now display the weight of the second item only If you have additional items to weigh repeat the instructions in 1 and 2 The total weight of all the items on the scale including the bowl or container if using one must not exceed the capacity of the scale which is 2kg or 4lb 60Z Instructions for the Count Down Timer The Scales provides a digital built in count down timer with beeper alarm 1 Press the On Off Tare button to turn the scale on The readout will display 8888 followed by 0 When the 0 appears press the SET button The timer symbol Q top left hand corner and 00 00 will be displayed The first two digits are minutes and the second two digits are seconds To set the required time press SET again The first digit will flash Press the ADVANCE button to change the next required time 4 To select the next digits and change the next required time repeat the instructions in 3 5 When all the digits that require changing have been altered the correct time is showing and with the last digit still flashing p
4. ress the SET button The timer is now ready Note If 00 00 re appears you have pushed the SET button once more than required and the timer has re set itself You will need to repeat the instructions from 3 5 6 To start the timer count down press the ADVANCE button 7 To stop the count down timer press the SET button or press and hold the SET button around 3 seconds Note Once the timer function has been selected ie by pressing the SET button the scale will not automatically turn off Automatic Switch Off Turn the scale off at any time by pressing the On Off Tare button for about 3 seconds The scale will automatically switch off about 2 minutes after the last weight has been added or removed prolonging battery life Note The scale will not automatically turn off once the timer function has been selected
