1. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR TCM600 CELEBRITY By operating your ELECTRON HOME RADIO INTERCOM SYSTEM correctly it will give many years of trouble free service Set below are the functions of the various controls on both the Master Unit and Room Stations The Master is the contro centre of the whole system and it has the following controls Refer fig 8 page 7 1 VOLUME 2 TONE 3 MVG 4 AM FM AUX 5 TUNING 6 Front Door 7 MONITOR 8 INSIDE 9 LOCK 10 RADIO 11 B1 BUTTON B2 BUTTON B3 BUTTON B4 BUTTON BA BUTTON 1 BUTTON 2 BUTTON 3 BUTTON This controls only the volume of the Master s speaker on Radio Auxiliary and intercom Turning this control clockwise will increase the volume This control adjusts the tone of the Radio and Auxiliary inputs throughout the complete system Anti clockwise rotation will decrease the treble This is the Master Volume Control used to control the volume throughout the entire system for Radio and Auxiliary inputs This switch selects either AM FM or Auxiliary input AM Selects the AM Broadcast band 525KHz 1605KHz FM Selects the FM band 88MHz 108MHz AUX Selects the Auxiliary source plugged into the Input jack ie Record player Tape recorder etc This control selects the required station Careful adjustment will result in best clarity on both AM and FM When this button is depressed the radio is muted if playi2. adio on or off Intercom to any rooms can be obtained by depressing the buttons for those rooms While any button is depressed those not are silenced Communication to the selected rooms is performed as described in 8 above After talking to the rooms required depressing the buttons again will return the system back to normal SS LEE EL ED OO OL ONT AD ELECTRON GOLD COAST 7 175 CURRUMBURRA RD ASHMORE QLD 4214 PHONE 5564 8100 FAX 5564 8144 Page 6 12 INTERCOM This control is located behind the front panel as is intended for adjusting the maximum level for the intercom Once adjusted it is usually not necessary to re adjust 13 CHIME This control is only accessable from behind the Master Unit and is factory preset It is not usually required to adjust but if it is necessary a small screw driver is required to insert into the hole Clockwise rotation will increase the volume of the chime HANDS FREE operation can be performed by depressing MONITOR in the selected room station to the Master Unit Pressing INSIDE at the master will enable the room station to hear the caller releasing the INSIDE button will enable the caller to hear or monitor the selected room THE ROOM STATION TCM12 Fig 7 below The room stations are used in the same manner as for the master VOLUME 1 Volume control for both music and intercom When using the intercom this control should be slid to the f
3. ar right and the persons communicating should talk at normal level If any of the room stations are turned down the volume of the intercom is affected likewise and if the volume control is slid to the far left no communication at all will be possible FRONT DOOR 2 This is used to talk to the front door as in 6 for Master Unit MONITOR 3 By depressing this button the room station turns into a microphone and a crying baby for example can be heard on every other room station and at the master More than one room can be monitored by pressing this said button in those rooms PAGE 4 Same function as INSIDE on Master Unit refer 8 above LOCK 5 Same function as Master Unit This button must be held until the front door has been pushed open by the caller only if the Latch option has been fitted to the front door gate Figure 7 Figure 8 Inside paging Volume Control Monitor Button Manitor Tone Control Inside Button Door release If fitted MV C Lock Button Door answering AM FM Aux Switch Radio Button Slide volume control Tuning Control Room Buttons Front Door Button Clock Controls INPUT SOCKET The input socket allows external sources to be played throughout the whole system The required signal sensitivity is 100mV 100K The input connection is via the standard 5 pin DIN socket Connect the earth side to the BLACK wire and signal to RED In some states a connecting lead ca

5. ng at the time and communication to the Front Door is achieved This button should be pressed when talking to the front door and released to hear the caller s reply The caller does not need to press any buttons other than the chime push button once to announce their arrival The Volume control 1 should be advanced while the intercom is being used otherwise the volume will be too soft To return the radio if it was previously on simply press the Inside button 8 momentarily By depressing this button monitoring can be achieved without silencing the radio The main use of this button on the Master is to listen to activity in the master area ie telephone at say the Pool area or outside areas The volume contro 1 should be set at its maximum and the Master Volume Control 3 should be adjusted so as not to drown out what is being monitored This is the button used to talk to the rest of the stations This is a Press To Talk button which must be held depressed while talking and then released when expecting a reply While this button is depressed the radio if on is muted automatically Again the volume control 1 should be in its maximum position for communication Persons wishing to reply must press their Inside button to reply volume control advanced While this button is depressed the door latch if installed will be energized thus allowing the front door gate to be pushed open Depressing this button turns the R
