USING A SPECIALIST CERAMIC COOKTOP CLEANER It is possible to purchase a specialist ceramic cooktop cleaner conditioner You should follow the instructions given by the manufacturer of the cleaner and ensure that it is suitable for use on your appliance PAGE 17 TROUBLESHOOTING amp TECHNICAL DATA OPERATION IN CASE OF EMERGENCY IMPORTANT If your appliance appears to be operating incorrectly then you should disconnect it from your mains gas and electrical supply and then contact the Residentia Group Support team on 1300 11 HELP 4357 In the event of an emergency you should gt Switch off all cooktop controls gt Switch the gas off at the isolation switch or at the gas meter gt Call the Residentia Support Team on 1300 11 HELP 4357 TROUBLESHOOTING Some minor faults can be fixed by referring to the instructions given below There is also a self help section online at http www residentiagroup com au The cooking zones are not functioning or will not switch on Check that the mains electrical supply to the appliance is correct and working Check the mains fuse gt The residual heat indicator has not come on after I have switched a cooking zone off The cooking zone has only been turned on for less than 30 seconds IMPORTANT If the cooking zone does appear to be hotter than 50 C or has been activated for longer than 30 seconds and the residual heat indicator has not come on you should call the Customer C

To disable the safety lock feature you should press the safety lock button 3 again for 3 seconds The safety lock LED will disappear from the control panel 6 and you are then able to adjust the power of any zone on the hob top THE COOKTOP TIMER Your cooktop has a countdown timer which will countdown a period of time between 1 and 99 minutes At the end of the countdown period the corresponding heating zone will turn off Each zone can be set with an individual timer gt Press the cooking zone selection button 6 of the working zone that you want to set the time the LED display will be flashing gt Press the timer button 9 The time display 6 will begin to flash gt Use the timer minus 10 and plus buttons 11 to set the countdown time gt The timer display 8 will show the countdown time that is set When you are happy with the time you have set release all buttons After 5 seconds time will be set the timer display 8 will stop flashing and the countdown will begin gt The zone timer activated LED 7 will light in the zone display 8 of the cooking zone which the timer has been set gt If the set time exceeds 99 minutes the timer display will return to showing 1 PAGE 15 gt After you set a timer the zone LED display will show the countdown time and the zone power level in turn for 3 secs gt To cancel the timer press the corresponding cooking zone selection button and the zone LED display

5. cooking zone indicator 9 will show a flashing letter H This means that the temperature of the zone could still be high enough to cause injury gt The letter H will go out after a set period of time Heating zone in use for Residual heat indication duration More than 30 seconds 2 minutes More than 1 minute 5 minutes More than 5 minutes 10 minutes More than 10 minutes 20 minutes More than 20 minutes 30 minutes More than 30 minutes 40 minutes IMPORTANT The residual heat indicator will disappear if the mains supply to the product is cut Warning It is still possible to burn yourself on a cooktop zone even when the residual heat indicator has gone off Always use caution when using the cooktop SAFETY CUT OFF The hob has a safety cut off timer which will activate after 1 hour This is a safety feature which is designed to reduce the risks involved if the hob is accidently left on gt After one hour of the hob being in use but not touched or adjusted then the hob will automatically turn off LOCKING THE COOKTOP The whole cooktop can be locked by pressing the safety lock button 3 for 3 seconds whilst the cooktop is switched on gt The LED above the safety lock icon will light to indicate that the safety lock feature has been activated gt When the safety lock has been switched on it will disable any of the other buttons on the control panel apart from the safety lock button 3 gt

9. 380 415V 3N 2 L1 to be connected to terminal 1 11 127 13 1 2 to be connected to terminal 2 3 L3 to be connected to terminal 3 5 0 N to be connected to terminals 4 5 with connection link O 5 4 The safety wire must be connected to the DPE terminal PE L1 L2 380 415V 3N gt You should use a good quality screwdriver to carefully fully tighten ALL of the terminal screws gt If when the cooktop is first switched on only two of the zones work you should recheck that the terminal screws all fully tightened and the links are in position This should be done before contacting the Customer Care Department IMPORTANT The cooktop must NOT be connected to the mains supply by means of a 10 15 plug and socket gt The cable can be looped if necessary but make sure that is not kinked or trapped when the cooktop is in position Care must be taken to avoid the cable being in contact with hot parts of the appliance PAGE 11 REPLACING THE MAINS SUPPLY CABLE If the mains supply cable is damaged then it must be replaced by an appropriate replacement which can be obtained via the manufacturer or its service agents in order to avoid hazard IMPORTANT The replacement of the mains supply cable must be carried out by a suitably qualified and licensed electrician The mains supply cable should be replaced in accordance with the following instructions Switch the appliance off at the socket Open the termi
