GB Mounting and Operating Instructions TRFB 150 Electric Towel Warmer Rapid Heater 1 Important Notices Read all information contained in this manual carefully Keep these instructions in a safe place and hand them over if applicable to the next owner The appliance is not intended for use other than in doors for the heating of room air and for drying tow els garments and similar textile goods The appliance may only be installed by an authorised qualified electrician All repairs and interventions in the appliance may only be performed by qualified persons or the cus tomer service Inthe event of any defect e g appliance or power cord is damaged unit is not working the appliance must be disconnected from the power supply Deacti vate the circuit breaker Inthe event of extended periods of non use the appliance must be disconnected from the mains power supply Do not cover the heating appliance as there is a risk of fire Do not allow appliance to be operated by children or other persons not capable of safely us ing the device Children must be prevented from play ing with or near the appliance Caution The outside of the appliance gets hot when in use Do not use the appliance in areas where flammable gases or liquids are stored or used Caution After the appliance has been switched on automatically there is a potential fire hazard as the appliance may have bee

4. dial B The thermostat switches the radiant heater on and off as a function of the room temperature and the value pre set on the thermostat dial The lowest setting on the thermostat is a freeze protection function dial at symbol In the freeze protection mode the thermostat turns on the radi ant heater at an ambient temperature of approxi mately 7 C Higher temperature values can be pre set on a scale from 1 to max 10 approx 29 C The fan operation is not regulated by the thermo stat 6 3 Fan Operation 6 3 1 Fan Heater For rapid heating button C can be used for addi tionally switching on the integrated fan heater for a pre set period of time Three time settings are possible Press button once 72h 30 minutes Press button twice 1h 60 minutes Press button three times 2h 120 minutes Press the button once again to switch off the fan heater During the pre set time period the room will be heated at maximum heat output irrespective of the thermostat setting 6 3 2 Cold air fan Pressing button D causes the integrated fan with out heating action to be switched on The cold air mode is indicated by means of the green indicator light D1 The fan operating time can be set by pressing button C once or several times The following time settings are available 30 minutes 1 2h 60 minutes 1h or 120 minutes 2h off 6 4 Comfort Mode thermostat controlled fan In the c
5. n covered or obstructed prior to switching on Make sure that minimum clearances in particular from easily inflammable materials or heat sensitive plastic materials are maintained see Section 2 Minimum Clearances The supply cord must not be placed over the hot ap pliance 2 Minimum Clearances Mounting The heating appliance may only be mounted and oper ated in vertical position on a vertical wall For the installation of heaters in rooms with a bathtub or a shower it is imperative that the national electrical codes and regulations be adhered to The appliance must be installed in such a way that switches and other controls cannot be touched by the person using the bath or the shower Do not mount the appliance directly under an electrical wall outlet The mains socket must be accessible after the appliance has been mounted It is absolutely necessary that the minimum clearances indicated in the mounting diagram be maintained Beyond that a clearance space of at least 500 mm to combustible materials is to be allowed in front of the ap pliance XC Dimplex trfb gb_ba 11 07 A Mounting procedure The heater must be fixed to the wall using 3 screws see diagram 1 Loosen the shipping bolt and remove wall bracket from rear panel 2 Mark the location of the mounting holes for the wall bracket Ensure that the holes are horizontal 3 Drill the holes insert the wall plugs and secure the wall br
6. omfort mode also the fan heater in addition to the radiant heater is controlled by the thermostat To activate the Comfort mode Unit must be switched on power on indicator light A1 is illuminated Press button A for three seconds until indicator light A1 is flashing To exit from the Comfort mode Press button A once more indicator light A1 ex tinguishes heater is off After the heater is switched on again press but ton A once more the appliance resumes normal operation as described under 6 1 On Off But ton 7 Overheat Protection For your safety the towel warmer rapid heater is equipped with an overheat protection each for the func tions Radiant On and Fan heater On If the heater becomes excessively hot the appliance is automatically switched off Resetting the overheat protection After the cause of tripping the overheat protection has been eliminated e g air slots were covered the appli ance can be restarted The radiant heat overheat protection will automatically reset once the appliance has cooled down sufficiently The overheat protection for the integrated fan heater must be reset manually by switching the heater off ac tuate button A and allowing the appliance to cool down Should the overheat protection trip repeatedly please consult your customer service agent 8 Malfunctions In the event that defects in your appliance result in mal functions please contact your
