The exterior power supply connector has been unplugged and the flap for the input connector is closed The used water drain hose has been disconnected and removed Such items as surfboards or bicycles have been secured safely The stop cocks for the used water and fresh water tanks are closed That you have left nothing behind don t forget to look under the vehicle as well The electric step has been retracted and the outside light has been switched off All rotatable seats have been turned to the direction for driving and are locked in place The pulldown bed has been locked in place and secured where applicable All loose items are safely stowed away All doors windows and roof hatches are closed The door to the living area is locked on the inside The gas cooker has been turned off The TV antenna has been retracted where applicable All cupboard and hatch doors and flaps are closed and locked pressure release buttons pushed in All objects in the bathroom have been stowed away all cupboards and hatches are closed the slide gate on The toilet and the door to the shower cubicle are closed The gas cut off valves for all unused items of equipment are closed on the gas bottles as well as the main on off valve if the heating system is not being used The refrigerator is secured with the door locks The brace securing the elevating table to the floor is tightly fastened The sliding door s is are secured in an end position wi

Signals that the content of the fresh water tank is being scanned A flashing symbol in conjunction with an audible warning indicates that the level in the fresh water tank has dropped below approximately 35 litres If you wish you can deactivate the audible warning in programming mode 21 Symbol for used water tank Signals that the content of the used water tank is being scanned A flashing symbol in conjunction with an audible warning indicates that the used water tank is filled up to approximately 85 This means that the tank is only capable of carrying approximately 35 litres more before it starts overflowing If you wish you can deactivate the acoustic warning in programming mode 22 PROG Programming indicator Alarm Signal indicator 23 Battery symbol Indicates scanning of the battery voltage in conjunction with No 25 or No 26 A flashing symbol combined with indicator 25 or 26 and an acoustic warning indicates that the voltage of the respective battery has dropped below the permitted value of approx 11 V Switch off all items of equipment which are not essential and recharge the battery via the charger or vehicle generator If the voltage continues to drop the electronic monitoring system deactivates all items of equipment apart from the electric step and light above the entrance door 24 Indicator of solar panel charging 25 Symbol for vehicle battery Indicates scanning of the battery voltage in conjunction with in

10. by a specialist e Do not modify the gas system in any way whatever and do not perform any work on it yourself e f you would like any modifications to the gas system e g installation of additional items of equipment or an extra connection you should preferably have the work performed by the manufacturer If this is not possible work may only be performed on the gas system by qualified specialists approved by the German LP Gas Association DVFG Ask for verification of this approval Every modification to the gas system must be entered on the gas test certificate failure to comply with this ruling renders the certificate null and void e Examine the connecting hoses for signs of wear at regular intervals If necessary replace hoses with genuine spare parts fitting new ones by the expiry date printed on the original hoses at the latest Only ever use genuine spare parts to replace defective gas system components After igniting a hob burner the respective gas tap must spring back into place automatically The ventilation holes in the floor of the gas bottle compartment must never be closed off or obstructed Avoid kinks in the gas hoses Always connect the gas pressure regulator in the horizontal position Do not smoke or use a naked flame when working with the gas system Make sure that there is adequate ventilation e g roof hatch open when using the cooker to ensure that there is no lack of oxygen Never use the cooker to heat the

15. models these operating instructions should be considered in the general sense The water filter system may not be used with warm water It should not be exposed to minus temperatures danger of damage caused by water please see point 7 In case of improper installation warranty can not be granted for any damage Installation Please don t forget to switch off the water or the water pump before installing the filter system See separate installation notes After installation switch on the water open the additional small tap switch on the pump and let water flow about 5 minutes The water flowing may be a little turbid until there is no more air in the cartridge The water filter is now operative Operating life e Depending on the quality of the water the filter cartridge may be used to filter about 8 000 fresh water e The cartridge must be replaced in any case after two years irrespective of useage e You may have to replace the cartridge earlier if the water does not flow normally It does not mean that the cartridge is defect but only that the filtered water contains a great quantity of particles Replacement of the filter cartridge e Switch off the pump and open the small tap to equalize pressure in the water filter Screw off the bottom to open the water filter housing Take a receptacle to collect the rest of water tripping whilst replacing e Remove the filter cup first and the filter cartridge You may dispose of the car
16. on the outlet connection under the floor of the vehicle Use the bayonet coupling to connect the used water drain hose where applicable 2 Open the outside flap to the used water tank Turn the finger grip Knob at O in the direction of flow through the line 3 When the tank is empty close the tap and used water tank flap again and replace the bayonet cap on the outlet connection Where will you find fresh water and where can you empty the used water tank The documents supplied with your motorcaravan include a motorcaravan service map of Germany issued by the German Recreational Vehicle Manufacturers Association VDWH and promobil which contains a list of supply and disposal stations where you can fill up your fresh water tank and empty your used water tank throughout Germany Other alternatives include garages and service stations as well as camp sites of course Heating System Please refer to the Alde User Manual for full operating instructions Please also note the service requirements for the heating system details are given in the Warranty amp Maintenance Booklet section on page 80 27 Concorde Owners Handbook from Southdowns Using The Equipment amp Functions Keys Your Concorde motorcaravan is equipped with a key for the base vehicle and a key for the coachwork or living accommodation apart from the Concorde C 1 on MAN chassis refer to the MAN owner s manual The vehicle key is used as the ignition key and
17. slow discharge It also requires no maintenance at all and has an extremely low level of soontaneous discharge There is therefore no need to remove the battery when the vehicle is temporarily removed from service It is sufficient to disconnect the positive terminal once the battery has been fully charged The gel type battery has a long service life If it needs replacing in spite of this please use another battery of the same type but never fit a vehicle battery The gel battery and the automatic charger have been matched to one another to ensure optimum operation When the engine is running the leisure battery is recharged via the vehicle s generator This is indicated by the batteries connected in parallel symbol No 29 on the control panel When the vehicle is at a standstill without being connected to an external power supply the battery has sufficient capacity to supply the items of on board equipment for several days if used sparingly Under such conditions check the voltage of the leisure battery on the control panel at regular intervals You should never let the voltage of the leisure battery drop below 12 volts If the battery voltage drops too low 11 volts the control panel issues an audible warning tone and the battery symbol No 23 starts flashing If you continue to use electricity without recharging the battery the electronic system deactivates all items of equipment in order to protect the leisure battery You should therefo
18. snow The same applies to the roof hatches If the temperature drops below 0 C fit the winter covers onto the refrigerator vents and remove them again if the temperature rises above freezing point More electricity is used in winter than in Summer so make sure that the batteries are recharged via the external power supply if staying at a site for a longer period The cable should not be laid along the ground as it may freeze there Ventilation is particularly important during the winter months Wherever possible keep moisture out of the living area and if the humidity increases it is advisable to fit a humidity indicator open windows and roof hatches to let it escape A special winter awning is very useful offering space to accommodate wet clothing boots skis etc keeping the moisture from these articles out of the living area If you do not have a winter awning we recommend that you put these items in the shower cubicle to dry Do not turn the heating system down too low when leaving the motorcaravan to ensure that the tank and water pipes are kept warm enough Close the roller blinds at night but open them during the day the heat produced by the sun can help to reduce gas consumption Remove snow and ice from skis and sticks before stowing them away De icing salt deposits can cause corrosion damage to the chassis underbody and coachwork Always clean the motorcaravan and remove all traces of salt after every winter holiday P

20. system 30 mbar e The gas system must be put into operation in accordance with the instructions refer to the description on Page 15 Remove the protective cap from the connector Fit the coupling from the appliance onto the connector quick action coupling Open the cut off valve in line with gas line open across the gas line closed A safety valve prevents gas escaping when the cut off valve is open but not at the connected appliance Safety information The external gas connection is only intended to supply gas Never try to feed gas into the system Explosion hazard Outside shower option Using for the first time The water system must be ready for use as described above If you wish to shower with hot water you will need to turn on the combined heating boiler system Open the outside flap and fit the hose connection Open the tap on the shower head Adjust the water temperature with the rotary regulator if necessary 97 Concorde Owners Handbook from Southdowns Outside awning option Use the handle provided for this purpose to extend and retract the outside awning To extend To Fit the handle into the fitting on the casing Turn clockwise until the awning runs out audible clicking noise Make sure that the awning is extended evenly over its entire length If this is not the case run the awning back in again and repeat the procedure Extend the awning by around 1 m You will find th
21. the 12 volt relay module and the 230 volt fuse module Initial operation Press the On button on the control panel above the entrance door to activate the independent 12 volt system refer to on page 18 Hooking up to the external power supply Power is supplied to the 230 volt system via the CEE standard external socket under the side window on the left hand side of the vehicle For safety reasons only the cable with CEE connector supplied with Concorde camper may be used for this connection Concorde Owners Handbook from Southdowns Grasp the grooved section at the bottom of the socket cover pull to disengage it and tilt it upwards Lift the cover of the blue CEE connector and insert the three pin CEE connector into the socket until you hear it latch into place The construction of the connector ensures that it can only be plugged in the right way round Plug the earthed connector into the external power source using an extension lead if necessary To disconnect the vehicle from the external power supply first disconnect the earthed connector from the external power source To unplug the connector press the blue release lever next to it downwards and unplug the connector then press the lift up cover down to close After hooking up to the external power supply e This is indicated on the control panel by the word Netz German word for mains on the alphanumeric display and the connector symbol No 28 e You can draw 230 V

26. 5 Concorde Owners Handbook from Southdowns Central electrical system The central electrical system is accommodated under the rear bench seat the left hand seat in R models This is where the 12 volt control and distribution module is located as well as the 12 volt relay module and the 230 volt distribution and fuse module 230 V distribution and fuse module with protective circuit breaker The 230 V system is equipped with a protective circuit breaker ELCB earth leakage circuit breaker and 230 V automatic circuit breakers The protective circuit breaker constantly compares the current in the supply and return lines of the 230 V circuit If a leakage current is detected e g due to a short circuit in an appliance or accidental contact with one of the contacts in the socket outlet the circuit breaker opens and isolates the vehicle s 230 V circuit from the power supply This ensures optimum protection against electric shock You can interrupt the supply manually by pressing the grey toggle switch downwards off position thereby de energising the 230 V system Flick the toggle switch upwards again on position to switch on If the circuit breaker is triggered automatically first find out what has caused this to happen Do not switch on again until the problem has been located and eliminated If there is no obvious reason for the circuit breaker to open please contact a Concorde partner or a qualified electrician After connecting up

If you wish top the water in the fresh water tank up again to replace the water used to fill the system 8 The water supply is now ready for use You can read the water levels in the fresh water and used water tanks on the control panel Pages 6 7 The water pump starts running automatically when one or several tap s is are opened The water pump must stop running again shortly after closing the last tap If this is not the case or if the pump switches on without a tap being opened you can hear water running this could be due to a leak in the water system Water leaks can cause serious damage so ask your Concorde dealer to check the system for you Always turn the water pump off using the pushbutton 9 when leaving the vehicle for a longer period Note Never allow the water pump to run without water as this could damage or destroy the pump We recommend that you add a sterilising agent to the fresh water tank Alternatively it is advisable to use a separate canister for drinking water or drink mineral water Because of the risk of germs fresh water should not be left in the tank for longer than 3 4 days The used water system should also be emptied at regular intervals to prevent the build up of algae or contamination Emptying the used water tank You can read the level in the used water tank on the control panel Pages 6 7 The symbol No 21 starts flashing on the control panel when the tank is 85 full 1 Undo the bayonet cap
