Repair open in YEL BLK wire between the fuse box and the recirc motor Inspect the recirc motor page 15 37 Is the recirc motor OK YES Replace the motor recirc Check the GRN WHT terminal for continuity to body ground in FRESH position Repair open in GRN WHT wire between recirc motor and the heater control panel Is there continuity Check the GRN RED terminal for continuity to body ground in REC position Repair open in GRN RED wire between the recirc motor and the heater control panel ls there continuity Replace the heater control panel 15 18 Replacement 1 Remove the glove box 4 Without A C 2 Remove the glove box frame Remove the blower mounting nuts 3 Disconnect the connectors from the blower motor resister and recirculation control motor then remove the blower gover FRAME __ Oh Z GS ep ey GLOVE BOX 3 Without A C 5 With A C Remove the self tapping screws 2 and remove the Turn over the carpet and remove the side cover heater duct Remove the control unit bracket mounting nuts 4 Disconnect the connectors 5 and remove the control unit bracket XG x AN CD X 9 arias BY lt cont d 15 19

Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Flowchart Blower NOTE Check for a blown No 18 30 A No 8 7 5 A fuse Blower motor does not run at all Disconnect the 2 P connector from the blower motor BLU RED YEL BLK Turn the ignition switch ON Measure the voltage between YEL BLK terminal and body ground Is there battery voltage YES YEL BLK BLU RED To page 15 13B View from wire side RH TYPE NOTE Connect the battery positive to the YEL BLK terminal and negative to the BLU RED terminal and check that the blower motor runs Replace the blower motor Inspect the blower motor Is the blower motor OK Turn the ignition switch OFF Reconnect the 2 P connector to the blower motor Disconnect the 8 P connector from the heater fan switch Measure the voltage between BLU RED terminal and body ground View from wire side To page 15 13 A 15 12 From page 15 12 A Turn the ignition switch ON NO is there battery voltage YES Turn the ignition switch OFF Inspect the fan switch page 15 34 Is the fan switch OK YES Repair open in BLK wire between the fan switch and body ground or poor ground G401 402 Repair open in BLU RED wire between blower and fan switch Replace the fan switch From page 15 12
