For further information on PROFIBUS refer to the above mentioned standards 7 79 USER MANUAL PROFIdrive Z SANTERNO GRUPPO CARRARO 3 3 THE PROFlidrive COMMUNICATIONS BOARD The PROFldrive communications board is an optional device for the inverters of the Sinus PENTA series which enables the connection of the drive to a PROFIBUS network The drive is considered as a slave on the PROFIBUS network Through the PROFIdrive communications board it is possible to e give control commands to the drive Start Stop Run enable etc e feed a motor speed or torque reference to the drive e give a process actual value or a process reference to the PID controller of the drive e read status information and actual values from the drive e change drive parameter values e reseta drive fault The PROFIBUS commands and services supported by the PROFIdrive communications board are discussed in sections DP VO COMMUNICATION and DP V1 COMMUNICATION Please refer to the user documentation of the drive as to which commands are supported by the drive The adapter module is mounted into an option slot on the motor control board of the drive See the Hardware Manual of the drive for module placement options Configuration of the master station requires a type definition GSD file For DP VO communication the 0401DPVO GSD file is required For DP V1 communication the 0401DPV1 GSD file is required These files are available e on the installation CD Rom
