1. Engineer has unplugged their terminal the server will again begin polling interrogating the controller which will change Cuckoo status accordingly Numerous fail safes are configured on the LTraffic server allowing for extremely accurate fault reporting the system can tell the following e If the Cuckoo to Controller RS232 communication lead has been left unplugged e Whether someone is communicating remotely through IP Telnet or connected through the Cuckoo RS232 port whilst on site e If the Battery back up 15 operational because of a mains failure Echo Telnet sessions are also allowed for maintenance technical support and training 7 2 Communications Various communication methods can be used on the Cuckoo The user can connect remotely via the website from one of the Telnet links across the GUI The user will be required to set up their laptop computer Telnet handlers to target a Telnet program installed on their machine This can be completed by following the instructions as follows 1 Download putty from http www chiark greenend org uk sgtatham putty download html 2 Enable Telnet client on windows as follows e Open Control Panel e Click Program and Features Tab e Click Turn Windows features on or off e Check box for Telnet Client and Telnet Server 3 Set putty exe application to run when links clicked on websites e Open regedit applications from any windows search menu e Click HKEY CLASSES
