Option Modules User s Manual 385 8003 Rev AJ O 2008 FEI Zyfer Inc All rights reserved Time Code Input Module 385 4040 21 1 2 IRIG input and Ethernet Input module combination The 385 4040 03 may be used with the Ethernet Input Module 385 4038 02 or 03 In this configuration the module will be installed in the adjacent slot and connected via a supplied ribbon cable As an example In a CommSyncll application the Ethernet Input Module will be installed slot 15 with the Time Code Input Module will installed in slot 14 with a ribbon cable between or in a GSync application the Ethernet I O Module in slot 4 with the Time Code Input Module in slot 3 with the ribbon cable The two modules work together in providing UO for the command interface as well as synchronization and IRIG time inputs To install a 385 4040 03 it is necessary to connect the supplied ribbon cable from J9 on the module to J2 on the Ethernet I O Module in the Primary slot This provides the I O path for the RS 232 and IRIG time set functions 1 3 Input Code Type Each IRIG input connector is user configurable via jumper plugs to allow for either Amplitude Modulated or DC Shift code inputs The default setting is for Amplitude Modulated on both inputs For DC Shift code inputs on either input see Figure 1 for shunt locations IRIG inputs A and B are auto select A priority only The two input connectors A and B provide redundant IRIG input cap
