1. 8 JOURS Aqua 8 8 JOURS Postillon USER MANUAL G EBERHARD Mnaftectno Kasso d Horlogerie depuis 1657 Th Eberhard amp Co watch manufactory was founded by Georges Emile Eberhard at La Chaux de Fonds back in 1887 Ever since the venture has specialised in the making of chronographs In this capacity it has attained a highly respected position in the world of high grade watches With the introduction at a later stage of sportively elegant watches it has furthermore augmented this status of the Eberhard amp Co brand name Eberhard s success story is backed by consistent deployment of advanced technology meticulous craftsmanship and not least by observing that long tradition of superior workmanship which has made Swiss watchmaking a household name Today with well over a century gone by watches by Eberhard amp Co continue to stand for that high grade quality and those excellent virtues which will please even the most demanding of connoisseurs 8 JOURS AQUA 8 POSTILLON The 8 Jours Agua 8 Postillon collection combines tradition with committed workmanship as it comprises mechanical hand winding watches which need winding only once every 8 days The innovation here is a special winding device patented by Eberhard amp Co consisting of two overlapping springs with a combined length of one and a half metre while a standard wrist watch has only one spring about 30 centimetres long INFORMATI2. 55 centimetres instead of 30 cm in a common model allows to obtain an operating autonomy of 192 hours this means 8 days The watch is water resistant up to 3 atm This model is available in stainless steel or in 18 ct gold READING THE DIAL The small seconds hand is situated on the dial at 6 o clock The hand indicating the power reserve which in some models is expressed in days is located between 9 and 10 o clock OPERATING THE CROWN For setting the time pull the crown delicately When hours and minutes are adjusted push the crown against the case in the winding position When winding the watch the indicator hand placed between 9 and 10 o clock will immediately inform you about the power reserve We strongly recommend to wind your watch manually and not to use special instruments allowing a quick winding OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS The watch has a power reserve that is not shown on the indicator In order to obtain a power reserve of 8 days the spring has to be wound completely but without using force even if the hand of the indicator has already reached the top of the scale which corresponds to the 8th day It is recommended to wind the watch shortly before the 8 days have elapsed in order to obtain the best regulation If the hand of the power reserve is not correctly aligned with the scale on the dial because the watch has been wound before the indicator was in a position near 0 simply leave the watch until it is co
