FreeWave Technologies User Manual Addendum 1427 1435 GHz Transceiver V1 0a FreeWave Technologies Inc 1 427 1 432 GHz User Manual Addendum The FreeWave Technologies LRS Family 1 427 1 432 GHz Licensed Radios operate in substantially the same manner as the 900 MHz and 2 4 GHz transceivers They can be used in point to point and multipoint modes with essentially the same parameter options Quick Start on a Point to Multipoint System The following is a quick start guide for setting up two transceivers in Point to Multipoint mode This mode allows for a Master to communicate with several Slaves simultaneously In addition to the Quick Start Guide there will be detailed instructions on how to set up the frequency min and max packet sizes 1 Connect the transceiver to the serial port of your computer either through a serial cable or via the diagnostics cable 2 Open up a HyperTerminal session e Use the following settings in connecting with HyperTerminal e Connect to COMx depending on which COM port your cable is connected to e Set data rate to 19 200 data bits 8 Parity none Stop bits 1 Flow Control none 3 Press the setup button next to the serial port on the radio If you are using the diagnostics cable press Shift U capital U e The three lights on the board should all turn green indicating Setup mode e The main menu will appear on the screen 4 Press 0 to get into the Operation Mode menu e Press 2 to set the
