Figure 1 2 The main components of a Web page 1 2 ESTIS Builder Essentials Navigation The Main Menu ESTIS Builder has nine main functions that you will use to build your site These functions are accessible at all times from the main menu navigation bar at the bottom of your screen see Figure 1 3 Page 10 Home Manage your pages and files Modify your site theme 123 4 5 6 7 8 9 Modify your site menu Some t Cl ve Ei ALE GO Je Add new page User Administration Exit Help dh 2 3 4 Ss 6 7 8 9 Figure 1 3 Navigating ESTIS Builder The main menu In addition to the nine main functions there are also several families of icons that will appear in the main menu depending on the function you have selected These icons will be explained in more detail in the sections below The Sub Menu Along with the main menu a sub menu is also present at all times see Figure 1 4 This menu e a provides answers to several questions and includes a help section The content of the first Whatis ESTIS four items always remains the same However the last item the help section will change depending on where you are The help section has been designed so that the key points for each page are displayed Should you require any further information a more detailed help section is available by clicking on the more link Alternatively if you wan

A red box will appear around the element that you have selected 3 Depending on the action you wish to perform select one of the blue action icons from the main navigation bar The main action icons are E Edit selected element t Move selected element up t Move selected element down D Delete selected element The sidebar An optional feature that you can add to your Web site is a sidebar The sidebar appears on the right hand side of the screen and maybe used for example to provide a profile of your new technologies o To add or remove a sidebar from your page i 1 Select the violet El icon from the main menu A template of a sidebar will appear ready i for editing in the same way as any other page element i 2 To hide the sidebar select the violet Oo icon O You also have the option of deleting the information in the sidebar that you have created by O selecting the violet D icon Once you have deleted the information in the sidebar you can still add a new sidebar at a later date by selecting the violet EJ icon 3 Previewing your pages While you are building your pages you can preview the page at anytime by clicking on the red O icon in the main menu The preview will show you what the page will look like to your visitors 4 Information for search engines For each page that you create you should add information for search engines The information for search engines includes a description of your p
