Settings gt Account afterwards you go the index User and choose Username as your login method Fill in Username Customer and Password Be careful to name different server name Host and Port on the index Connect if necessary The software is now prepared and after a few moments you will be registered as a member of your group 1 3 First steps 1 3 1 Talk Press and maintain a hotkey e g the central key your channel will now be opened and you can talk to your group After the message you have to release the key in order to unblock the channel for all other group participants 1 3 2 Change status Using the button Select Status on your interface it is possible to change your status visible for other group participants This list is set in advance by the administrator Each status can have different qualities e g there will be no voicemails received or sent in the Meeting Mode status In spite of this text messages will be delivered 1 3 3 Change group Using Options gt Select Group a list of groups unblocked for you will be shown so you can change to a particular group 2 Software installation 2 1 Software installation on Windows Mobile Devices There are different versions of the operating system Windows for mobile devices which are supported by corresponding versions of PSlptt Push To Talk Most devices today are equipped with Windows Mobile 6 but there are also devices left

4. running Windows Mobile 5 or Windows CE For each of these operating systems there is a special installation file Please choose the right file for installation as follows e Windows Mobile 6 PSlptt cab e Windows Mobile 5 PSlpttWM5 cab e Windows CE PSlpttCE cab Perform the following steps to install the PSlptt cab file PC Connect mobile device to PC over USB cable PC Start Microsoft ActiveSync if it doesn t start automatically Wait until ActiveSync reaches status Connected PC In ActiveSync Click Explore button in toolbar This will open an Explorer windows PC Drag and Drop PSlptt cab in the Explorer window Wait until the file has been copied on the device After that you may disconnect mobile device from your PC Mobile Device Start File Explorer and navigate it to My Documents folder Mobile Device Open PSlptt cab file and follow instructions Mobile Device If you see the message The program is from unknown publisher select Yes to continue installation 2 2 Software installation on Symbian S60 Devices Connect your mobile phone via the included USB cable to your PC If your mobile phone now asks for a state of connection please choose Data Transfer If not please make sure that the chosen standard mode is FileTransfer rather than MediaPlayer or PC Suite Therefore you have to enter the configuration menu of your mobile phone Enter main menu with

9. ftware on your mobile phone The software can be transferred via memory card USB connection to your desktop pc or internet download If you are not familiar with this procedure follow instructions described in chapter 2 After the installation Push To Talk will start automatically every time you will switch on your mobile phone To reach the user interface easier we recommend to install a hotkey for PSlptt 1 2 Preparation To work with PSlptt Push To Talk the software has to be prepared once only after the installation Starting the software for the first time you have to select an access point which enables the internet connection Using Vodafone D2 web vodafone de or VF DE WEB normally grants you access In case of problems concerning the access point please contact your mobile communications provider To supply you with the correct setting usually an automated configuration sms will be sent The access point you have now selected is saved and will be reused on the next occasion If you would like to choose another access point later use the PSlptt menu Options gt Settings gt Access Point Afterwards you will be asked for your password The standard setting for your user registration at the server is based on the IMSI of your SIM card If this is appropriate for you you just have to enter your password and the connection to the server is established To register your user name you choose Options gt
10. h Standard setting Off The field Incoming Calls enables settings concerning system sounds for incoming voicemails e Call turns on or off a system sound On Off which sounds before an incoming voicemail is played Standard setting Off e Call finished turns on or off a system sound On Off which sounds after an incoming voicemail is played This also means that a voice channel is open again so you can answer to your voicemail Standard setting On e Call delayed turns on or off a system sound On Off which sounds before an incoming but delayed voicemail is played Delayed is defined by the administrator as Could not be delivered in a certain amount of time Standard 60 seconds Standard setting Off Available from version 1 5 The field Outgoing Calls enables settings concerning system sounds for outgoing voicemails e Call turns on or off a system sound On Off which sounds if the voice channel is opened and you can start talking This is especially helpful when using Bluetooth headsets because depending on the used model setting up a voice channel out of Standby could last longer Standard setting On e Call finished turns on or off a system sound On Off which sounds if the voice channel is closed Standard setting Off e Call failed turns on or off a system sound On Off which sounds if the voice channel cannot be opened while trying to send a message
11. ing Options gt Settings gt Account you can carry out all settings concerning your registration to the server There are two fields within the setting User Connect User In the field User you can fill in or change your registration data There are different settings depending on your way of registration e With Login Method as way of registration IMSI and Username are supported IMSI is your specific SIM card registration number which identifies you as a user If the administrator has used IMSI to register you at the server this is the easiest way of registration which I also defined as standard Further for a registration via IMSI you only need your password e Username represents your PSlptt user name The setting for Username can only be adjusted if this way of registration was chosen Username is determined by the administrator e Customer is the name for a closed area of the server which is only accessible for those users sharing a common group Customer is given to you by the administrator e Password is your personal password which is given to you by the administrator Connect In the field Connect settings for the access to your server for PSlptt Push To Talk via the internet can be adjusted e Host is the name of your server in general it is ptt psi de e Port is a numerical value which unam

13. map sector shown Zoom In using the central key will increase this scale You can leave the map mode via Options gt Exit or choose another located user of your group and display him via Select User 3 3 Settings of PSiptt software 3 3 1 Positioning Using Options gt Settings gt Positioning the positioning signal of your mobile phone can be activated or deactivated There are three settings defineable e On Auto e Cellbased e Off On Auto is the standard setting and locates the position of your mobile phone via a Global Positioning System GPS receiver if available This GPS receiver can be installed internally or connected to your phone externally via Bluetooth When there is neither satellite signal nor GPS receiver available data of the cellular radio system will be used for positioning Cellbased indicates that data of the cellular radio system is always used for positioning regardless of GPS receivers available Off indicates that the positioning signal is turned off Depending on this setting your device is able to broadcast positioning data for a user If this actually happens depends on the preset status settings by the administrator If the positioning data broadcast is turned off for your status neither the setting On Auto nor the setting Cellbased will display any position The setting Off is not overwritten by the defintion of the status when the positioning function
