Hochdruckreiniger mit wasser best ndigem Mehrzweckfett zu schmieren Falls sich ein Schmiernippel an der Kugelkallotte befindet kanndie Kugel ber die Zentralschmierung mit Fett versorgt werden AUSTAUSCH DER KUGEL Die Kugel 8 kann bis zu zweimal ausgetauscht werden Dies ist erforderlich wenn der Kugeldurchmesser an irgendeiner Stelle im Durchmesser kleiner als 78 5 mm geworden ist Der Austausch ist ausschlie lich durch eine Fachwerkstatt vorzunehmen Mittels der separat erh ltlichen Walterscheid Universal Pr flehre l t sich das Verschlei grenzma komfortabel kontrollieren Ein Werkzeug f r die Nutmutter ist ebenfalls separat erh ltlich e Die Nutmutter M48x1 5 DIN 70852 7 l sen e Die Kugel 8 von unten unter einer geeigneten Presse ausdr cken e Die neue Kugel zentrieren und ebenfalls mittels einer Presse bis zum Anschlag eindr cken Voher den Sitz leicht schmieren e Gewinde der Kugel mit Loctite 648 versehen und Nutmutter 7 mit 160 Nm Anzugsmoment anziehen In regelm igen Abst nden abh ngig von der Einsatzh ufigkeit mu der Niederhalter gereinigt werden Hierzu wird der Niederhalter komplett aus der Lagerung herausgezogen und der in der Lagerung befindliche Schmutz kann beseitigt werden Anschlie end ist die Lagerung neu zu fetten Betr gt das H henspiel der gekuppelten Zugkugelkupplung mehr als 5 mm sind entsprechende Teile wie Niederhalter Kupplungskugel oder Zugkugelkupplung auszutauschen Beim Austausch

7. g the permissible trailer weight as well as the permissible vertical load must be considered INSTALLATION e Remove a possibly existing fall protection in the coupling frame screw M12 spring pin or similar Remove the linch pins of the locking pins 3 and pull out the pins Push ball type coupling 1 from above into the slots of the guide rails ofthe coupling frame e Hold on the desired height position in the coupling frame Fix the locking pins 3 by the linch pins 4 reciprocally e The guide of the slider 120 mm long must not project beyond the guide slots of the frame both above and down 3 OPERATION see fig 2 The pertinent safety regulations must be observed when coupling and uncoupling No one may stand between the vehicles The ball type coupling may only be operated in locked condition 3 1 COUPLING Remove the grip clip of the retainer pin G and pull out the pin Pivot the retainer 2 through 90 into the lateral position Move the ball type trailer shank over the ball 8 Lower the ball type trailer shank by means of the drawbar support or a similar device Pivot the retainer 2 back into the direction of travel so that it is above the ball type trailer shank e Secure with the retainer pin 5 and the grip clip 6 Check the correct fit of the grip clip 3 2 UNCOUPLING Use supporting jacks or similar to stop the trailer rolling away Remove the grip clip 6 of the retainer p
8. in 5 and pull out the retainer pin Pivot the retainer 2 through 90 into the lateral position e Raise the ball type trailer shank by means of the drawbar support e Move the tractor forwards Pivot the retainer 2 into the direction of travel and secure it with the retainer 5 and the grip clip 6 Check the correct fit of the grip clip gt GKN LAND SYSTEMS 10 EXPECT gt MORE WALTERSCHEID 3 3 Adjustable retainer see fig 3 The adjustable retainer serves to compensate for wear on the ball type trailer shank and or the retainer The maximum adjustment path is 10 mm and the retainer is set at the factory in such a way that it can be ad justed 3 mm in the upward direction and 7 mm in the downward direction e Remove the retainer pinG Pull the retainer 2 out of the hole in the ball type coupling Adjust the height of the retainer by turning the set screw e Replace the retainer in the ball carrier Swing the retainer 2 into the direction of travel and secure it with the retainer pins G and the grip clips 6 Check the correct fit of the grip clips e NOTE Setting the retainer too tightly can damage the ball type coupling the ball type trailer shank and the equipment to be connected Always ensure that the retainer has at least 0 5 mm clearance relative to the surface of the ball type trailer shank 4 MAINTENANCE see Fig 1 The hitch ball must be lubricated with water resistant mu
9. lti purpose grease at regular intervals especially after cleaning with a pressure washer If there is lubrication fitting on the ball type trailer shank the ball can be supplied with grease via the central lubrication REPLACING THE BALL The ball 8 can be replaced twice at most Replacement is necessary when the ball diameter has become less than 78 5 mm at any point Replacement may only be performed by a specialist workshop Wear limits can be checked conveniently by means of a separately available Walterscheid test gauge Remove the slotted nut M48x1 5 DIN 70852 7 Force out the ball 8 from below using a suitable press e Centre the new ball and force it in up to the stop likewise using a press Before doing so slightly lubri cate the seat Apply Loctite 648 to the thread of the new ball and secure with the slotted nut 7 by applying a tighten ing torque of 160 Nm The retainer 2 should be pulled out completely at regular intervals depending on the schedule density and any dirt in the bearing has to be eliminated Both retainer pins must be removed beforehand for this purpose Subsequently re grease the bearing If the vertical play of the hitched coupling exceeds 5 mm the appropriate parts must be replaced e g re tainer ball or ball type trailer shank With the exchange of the retainerthe spring of the set screw has to be changed always Rue gt GKN LAND SYSTEMS 11 EXPECT gt MORE WALTERSCHEID BALL TY
