OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS TURBIDITY LIMIT VALUE EVALUATION UNIT TURBISWITCH GS4 WITH MEASURING SENSOR OR IMMERSION PROBE ae AMOR Y TURBISWITCH GS4 Evaluation Unit Measuring Sensor for installation in piping Immersion Probe TURBISWITCH GS4 TURBISWITCH GA1 TURBISWITCH GA5 TURBISWITCH GA11 TURBISWITCH CP2 Safety Precautions Installation initial start up and maintenance may only be performed by trained personnel The device may only be connected to power which complies with the specifications included in the technical data and on the serial plate The device must be disconnected from all sources of power during installation and maintenance work The device may only be operated under the conditions specified in the operating instructions Functions Description TURBISWITCH GS4 evaluation unit with required measuring sensor for installation in piping TURBISWITCH GA1 GA5 GA11 or TURBISWITCH CP2 immersion probe Turbidity measurement is based on the absorption process i e it reacts to reduced light due to suspended sediment in the liquid Measurement is insensitive to extraneous light thanks to the use of pulsed infrared light Measuring sensitivity depends on the length of the measuring section The shorter the measuring section the more turbid the liquid can be Pulsed infrared light is transmitted from the emitter through the liquid to the receiver If the selected turbidity value is exceeded or falle
