1. The Utilty Vinyl Barn Sash The Vinyl barn sash is created to match a traditional appearance sash that would incorporate modern vinyl profiles that are easy to maintain for the end user We started using a traditional profile with 2 3 8 wide stiles and top rail and the traditional wider 3 3 8 bottom rail We designed our sash so that the glass is installed in the assembly process with the bars to create a fastener free face very fig A To install 1 Build frame or re size your opening larger than the actual barn sash overall size 2 Measure completed opening to the inside and then cut two sets of 1 x 4 stops strips a One for the inside of the barn sash window b One for the outside of the barn sash window 3 Install a 1 x wood window stop or strip on the outside of the wall See fig A 4 Install place the barn sash against the stop tightly See fig B 5 Install the inside stops tight against the sash wedging the window in place See fig C 6 Finally seal from the outside and finish the outside wall
