9. pressure for the task to be performed 10 The brad nailer is now ready for use Before proceeding with the actual work it is advisable to practice on a test piece in order to check penetration of the nails use a piece of reject wood of a thickness exceeding the length of the nails Rest point A of the brad nailer against the surface of the wood and press trigger B If the nail does not penetrate to the depth required set the air pressure to a higher value WITHOUT EXCEEDING THE MAXIMUM PRESSURE INDICATED IN THIS MANUAL Fig 19 11 SINGLE SEQUENTIAL MODE This mode requires the trigger to be pulled each time a nail is driven The tool can be actuated by depressing the protector A against the work surface followed by pulling the trigger The trigger must be released to reset the tool before another nail can be driven WARNING An improperly functioning tool must not be used Do not actuate the brad nailer unless it is placed firmly against the work piece BRAD NAILER MAINTENANCE Lubrication The tool requires lubrication before using the tool for the first time and before each use If an inline oiler is used manual lubrication through the air inlet is not required on a 4 Reconnect air supply to the tool daily basis 5 Depress the Work Contact Element WCE against the work surface A NOTICE without pulling the trigger The tool must not operate Do not use the t
10. the gun Fig 20 3 Drop the cartridge containing the caulking medium into the tube Fig 21 4 Cut the end of the nozzle off Fig 21 preferably at an angle experience will determine the ideal angle and amount of nozzle to cut off for the job in hand 5 Screw back the end cap on to the gun firmly Fig 22 6 Thread the end cap over the cartridge nozzle Fig 23 7 Connect the air supply turn ON and approach the work Press the trigger B so that caulking medium is ejected To stop release the trigger Be aware that medium will continue to be ejected for a short period until pressure drops You should make allowances for this MAINTENANCE Run a few drops of oil through the tool It may be entered into the tool air inlet ensuring the strainer is clear or into the hose at the nearest connection to the air supply Then run the tool A rust inhibitive oil available from auto supply stores etc is acceptable Be aware that factors other than the tool may effect its operation and efficiency such as reduced compressor output excessive drain on the airline moisture or restrictions in the line or the use of connectors of improper size or poor condition which will reduce air supply Grit or gum deposits in the tool may also reduce efficiency This condition can be corrected by cleaning the air strainer and flushing out the tool with gum solvent oil or failing this the tool should be disassembled thoroughly cleaned dri
