File MH8698 Vol 5 Sec Gen ILL 1 Noy INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1000 E Woodtield Road 7 N Suite 102 Air Ducts and Air Connectors 4 Schaumburg IL 60173 5923 x k K Y FA aad Nonmetallic with Plain Ends Connections Splices 4 Alter desired length is determined cut completely 4 Fold back jacket and insulatlon from core Butt two around and through duct with knife or scissors Cut cores together on a 4 100 mm length metal sleeve wire with wire cutters Fold back jacket and insulation 2 Slide at least 1 25 mm of core over fitting and 2 Tape cores together with al least 2 wraps of duct past the bead Seal core to collar wilh at least 2 tape Secure connection with 2 clamps placed over wraps of duct tape Secure connection with clamp the taped core ends and past the beads placed over the core and tape and past the bead 9 Pull Jacket and insulation back ove core Tape Jacket with at least 2 wiaps of duct tape A clamp may be used in place of or in combination wih the duct tape 3 Pull Jacket and Insulation back over cores Taps Jackets together with at least 2 wraps of duct tape NOTES For uninsulated air ducts and air connectors dsregard references to Insulation and Jackel Use beaded sheet metal filings and sleeves Use tapes listed and labeled in accordance with Standard UL 181B and marked 181B FX _ Nonmetalic clamps shalt be Ested and labsted In accordance with Standard UL 181B and mark2.
