1. 2 THREADED STUD 2 KNURLED KNOB 2 Figure 14 5 Secure the ceiling cover in place by sliding lockwashers over the threaded studs and installing the two knurled knobs supplied Figure 14 Tighten the knurled knobs securely until the ceiling cover fits snugly against the ceiling and the hole in the ceiling cover is clear of the downrod Your fan is now wired to be turned on and off from the fan switch a WARNING To avoid possible fire or shock make sure that the electrical wires are completely inside the outlet box and not pinched between the ceiling cover and the ceiling 6 Connect the wood ball with chain to the 3 speed switch pull chain Using Your Ceiling Fan 1 Restore electrical power to the outlet box by turning Three Speed the electricity on at the main fuse box 9 Check th naneti eee st Pull HIGH Check the operation of the fan by gently pulling on Ye na the pul chain switch 2nd Pull Medium 3rd Pull Low 3 All fans are shipped from the factory with the at lca ESA reversing switch positioned to the left circulate air 4th Pull OFF downward If airflow is desired in opposite direction turn your fan OFF and wait for the blades to siop turning then slide the reversing switch to the LA EAs right position and turn fan on again 4 The fan blades will turn in the opposite direction and reverse the airflow Reverse Switch Information Your fan model is equipped wi

READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS 52 Ceiling Fan Owner s Manual Net Weight 25 4 Lbs READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS Safety Instructions A WARNING TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR INJURY TO PERSONS OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING a Use this unit only in a manner intended by the manufacturer If you have questions contact the manufacturer Before servicing or cleaning unit switch power off at service panel and lock service panel disconnecting means to prevent power from being switched on accidentally When the service disconnecting means cannot be locked securely fasten a warning device such as a tag to the service panel 1 Read your owner s manual carefully and keep it for future reference 2 Be careful of the fan and blades when cleaning painting or working near the fan Always turn off the power to the ceiling fan before servicing 3 Do not put anything into the fan blades while they are turning 4 Do not operate reversing switch until fan blades have come to a complete stop Additional Safety Instructions for Installation 1 To avoid possible shock be sure electricity is turned off at the fuse box before wiring and do not operate fan without blades 2 All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical Code ANSI NFPA 70 2011 and Local Electrical Codes Use the National Electrical Code if Local Codes do not exist The ceiling fan must be grounded as a precaut

8. ing the blades or cleaning the fan Do not insert forelgn objects in between rotating fan blades BLADE FLANGE Figure 5 FAN BLADE 9 Turn the fan assembly upside down in preparation for mounting the fan blade assemblies NOTE Take care not to scratch fan housing when REE NG installing blades SCREW 5 10 Carefully unscrew each shipping retainers from the motor housing Discard the five screws and shipping retainers Figure 6 11 Attach the flange blade assembly to the motor hub using the two 1 4 20 x 5 round head flange screws supplied Make sure the screws are tightened securely Figure 6 12 Repeat this procedure for the other four blade assemblies 1 4 20 x 5 ROUND HEAD FLANGE SCREWS 2 PER BLADE FLANGE ASSEMBLY Figure 6 13 Remove one of the screws from the switch adapter Retain for future installation Loosen the two remaining screws in the switch adapter for installation of the switch housing cover plate Figure 7 14 Place the switch housing cover plate onto the switch adapter Engage ihe keyholes of the switch housing cover plate by rotating the switch housing cover plate clockwise on the switch adapter Retighten the two screws and reinstall the screw previously removed Tighten all three screws securely Figure 7 15 Engage the connector of the switch housing assembly with the motor connector Figure 8 The two connectors are keyed and color coded and must be mated correctly color to

10. ntil it rests on the motor housing Place the ceiling cover over the downrod Be sure that the ceiling cover and the coupler cover are both oriented correctly Figure 3 5 Reinstall the hanger ball Figure 4 on the downrod DOWNROD as follows Route the three 80 motor leads through 5 the hanger ball Position the pin through the two nta i holes in the downrod and align the hanger ball so the lt gt pin is captured in the groove in the top of the hanger ball Pull the hanger bail up tight against the pin and securely tighten the setscrew in the hanger ball A loose setscrew could create fan wobble 4 WARNING it is critical that the pin in the hanger ball is properly installed and the setscrew securely tightened Fallure to verify that the pin and setscrew are properly installed could result in the fan falling 6 The fan comes with blue black and white leads that are 80 inches long Before installing the fan measure up approximately 6 to 9 inches above too of hanger ball downrod assembly Cut off excess leads and strip back insulation 1 2 inch from end of leads 7 Mount blade flange to fan blade using three 10 32 x 25 slotted Phillips washers head screws Figure 4 Figure 5 i ini 10 32 x 25 SLOTTED 8 eee a procedure for the remaining four blades PHIL Toe WASHER HEAD BLADE SCREW 3 4 WARNING To reduce the risk of personal injury do not bend the blade flange when installing the blade flanges balanc

12. t PACKAGE CONTENTS ari Description Quantity A Fan moor assy O o eomer p ns i Sten Hosa sonny 5 STI NOTE Place the parts from the loose parts bags in a small container to keep them from being lost If any parts are missing contact your local retailer or catalog outlet for replacement before proceeding 2 Remove the fan assembly from the protective plastic bag Piace the fan assembly into the upper foam pad with the top of the motor facing up The upper foam pad serves as a holder for the fan during the first stages of assembly This Manual Is Designed to Make it as Easy as Possible for You to Assemble Instail Operate and Maintain Your Ceiling Fan Tools Needed for Assembly One Phillips head screwdriver One stepladder One 1 4 blade screwdriver One wire stripper One 5 16 open end wrench or pliers Three wire connectors supplied Materials Wiring outlet box and box connectors must be of type required by the local code The minimum wire would be a 3 conductor 2 wire with ground of following size 1 Remove the hanger ball by loosening the setscrew in the hanger ball until the ball falls freely down the downrod Figure 1 Remove the pin from the downrod then remove the hanger ball Retain the pin and hanger ball for reinstallation in Step 5 2 Separate untwist and unkink the three 80 motor leads Route the motor lead wires through the downrod Align the clevis pin h
