1. Secure the outlet box MM not included directly to the building structure Use appropriate fasteners and materials not included The outlet box and its bracing must be able to fully support the weight of the moving fan at least 35 Ibs Do not use a plastic outlet box The illustrations below show three different ways to mount the outlet box MM not included MM N N a N MM To hang your fan where there is an existing fixture but no ceiling joist you may need an installation hanger bar NN not included as shown above Assembly Standard Ceiling Mounting 1 Preparing the canopy Remove the two non slotted mounting bracket screws BB from the canopy B and loosen the slotted mounting bracket screws BB on the canopy B Remove the canopy B from the mounting bracket A by turning the canopy B counterclockwise 3 Assembling the fan WARNING Failure to properly install the cotter pin FF could result in the fan becoming loose and possibly falling NOTE If a longer downrod is needed not included take out the screw located in the hanger ball lower the hanger A ball and remove the pin Remove all three pieces from the downrod and assemble them onto the new longer downrod before proceeding step 3 Route the wires through the canopy B and then through the hanger ball downrod assembly D Align t

7. f the canopy B are on top and then proceed to place the canopy B over the collar at the top of the fan motor assembly E Align the mounting holes in the bottom of the canopy B with the holes in the top of the fan motor assem bly E and fasten using the three collar mounting screws with lock washers HH previously removed Tighten the collar mounting screws HH securely 10 Preparing the motor Remove three of the six collar mounting screws with lock washers HH every other one from the collar on top of the fan motor assembly E Assembly Hanging the Fan Attaching the fan to the electrical box A WARNING To reduce the risk of fire electric shock or other personal injury mount the fan only to an outlet box or supporting system marked acceptable for fan support and use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box ba Pass the 120 volt supply wires through the center hole in the mounting bracket A Install the mounting bracket A to the outlet box MM with the screws and washers provided with your outlet box When using close to ceiling mounting it is important that the mounting bracket A be level If necessary use leveling washers not included between the mounting bracket A and the outlet box MM Note that the flat side of the mounting bracket A is toward the outlet box MM Securely tighten the two mounting sc
8. ground wire f P AA ON o WARNING To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock do Q KA Dm not use this fan with any solid state speed control device If you feel you do not have enough electrical wiring knowledge or experience have your fan installed by a licensed electrician Follow the steps below to connect the fan to your household wiring Use the plastic wire nuts AA with your fan Secure the plastic wire nuts AA with electrical tape Make sure there are no loose strands or connections Connect the ground conductor CCC of the 120V supply this may be a bare wire or a wire with green colored insulation to the green ground lead s 00 of the fan When using standard ceiling mounting there are two green grounding leads one from the mounting bracket A and one from the hanger ball downrod assembly E When using close to ceiling mounting there is only one green ground lead 00 from the mounting bracket A since the hanger ball downrod assembly E is not used o Connect the fan motor white wire PP to the supply white neutral wire BBB using a plastic wire nut AA Connect the fan motor black wire QQ and the blue wire RR to the supply black hot wire AAA using a plastic wire nut AA Turn the wire nut connections upward spreading them apart so the green ground 00 will be on one side of the outlet box MM and the white PP b

12. it 11 Attaching the light kit to the switch housing CAUTION Before starting the installation disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse at the fuse box Turning power off using the fan switch is not sufficient to prevent electric shock Remove the three light kit mounting screws Il from the light kit H and keep these screws While holding the light kit H under your fan motor assembly E locate two single white and blue wires in the switch housing labeled FOR LIGHT Make the polarized plug connections White to white Blue to black Carefully push all wires back into the switch housing Install the light kit H onto the switch housing with the three light kit mounting screws Il provided Be sure to tighten all screws 1 Mounting the glass shades and installing the light bulbs Mount the glass shades I to the light sockets by partially unscrewing the three light holder thumbscrews JJ on each glass holder inserting the glass shades I and gently and evenly tightening the light holder thumbscrews JJ by hand to the glass shades I Do not overtighten Install three 13 watt compact fluorescent bulbs KK included KK 16 Operation PULL CHAIN OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Install two pull chains and fobs LL onto the pull chains located in the switch housing and light kit H Tur
