4. the wall switch H and secure with the two wall plate screws EE provided 10 Assembly Finishing the Fan Motor Installation 5 Attaching the fan motor assembly to the mounting bracket Loosen two of the four mounting bracket screws DD from the mounting bracket A and remove the other two screws DD Remove the fan motor assembly B from the mounting bracket A hook and engage the key holes with the two mounting bracket screws DD previously loosened Tightening screws and attaching the decorative canopy Install the two mounting bracket screws DD previously removed and tighten all four mounting bracket screws DD Raise up canopy ring C and line up the four tabs with the four grooves on the canopy Once lined up slide the canopy ring C and secure it to the canopy until snug HAMPTONBAY COM Please contact 1 800 527 0998 for further assistance Assembly Attaching the Fan Blades Fastening the blade assemblies to the motor WARNING To reduce the risk of personal injury do not bend the blade arms while installing balancing the blades D or cleaning the fan Do no insert foreign objects between rotating fan blades D Insert a blade D through the slots in the bottom band Align the holes from the blade D to the holes from the motor and secure the blade in place with screws and fiber

8. ied electrician If your ceiling fan does not have an existing UL listed mounting box then install one using the following instructions Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off the circuit breakers Secure the outlet box JJ not included directly to the building structure Use appropriate fasteners and materials not included The outlet box and its bracing must be able to fully support the weight of the moving fan at least 35 Ibs Do not use a plastic outlet box The illustrations below show two different ways to mount the outlet box JJ not included JJ To hang your fan where there is an existing fixture but no ceiling joist you may need an installation hanger bar KK not included as shown above HAMPTONBAY COM Please contact 1 800 527 0998 for further assistance Assembly Hanging the Fan Motor Assembly Attaching the mounting bracket to the electrical box WARNING To reduce the risk of fire electric shock or other personal injury mount the fan only to an outlet box or supporting system marked acceptable for fan support and use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box Attach the mounting bracket A to the ceiling outlet box JJ not included with the two screws and washers WW provided with the outlet box JJ Ensure the mounting bracket A is tight and secured 2 Hang
9. ing the fan motor assembly from the mounting plate Lift the fan into position by hanging the fan motor assembly B onto the hook from the ceiling mounting bracket A allowing it to hang freely Assembly Making the Electrical Connections Making the motor and wall switch electrical connections 3 i Secure the wall switch H wire connection with the WARNING Check to see that all connections are tight plastic wire nut GG provided including ground and that no bare wire is visible at the wire nuts except for the ground wire After connecting the wires spread them apart so that the green and white wires are on one side of the outlet box JJ and black and blue wires are on the other side Carefully tuck the wire connections up CAUTION Do not use with a wall light dimmer switch into the outlet box JJ TT UU W 20 feet from the remote control for proper signal transmission NOTE The fan must be installed at a maximum distance of A between the remote control and the fan s receiving unit Follow the steps below to connect the fan to your household wiring Use the plastic wire nuts BB included with your fan Secure the wire nuts with electrical tape Make sure there are no loose strands or connections Remove the existing wall plate and wall switch from the wall junction box JJ Motor to wall switch connections Connect the black wire NN
