2. an Sea gull lighting IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS e Be sure the electricity to the system you are working on is turned off either the fuse removed or the circuit breaker set at off Use of other manufacturers components will void warranty listing and create a potential safety hazard If you are unclear as to how to proceed contact a qualified electrician You don t need special tools to install this fixture Be sure to follow the steps in the order given Under no circumstances should a fixture be hung on house electrical wires nor should a swag type fixture be installed on a ceiling which contains a radiant type heating system Read instructions carefully Save these instructions IF SUPPLY WIRES ARE LOCATED WITHIN 3 OF BALLAST USE WIRE RATED FOR AT LEAST 90 C WARNING RISK OF FIRE MOST DWELLINGS BUILT BEFORE 1985 HAVE SUPPLY WIRE RATED 60 C CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN BEFORE INSTALLING FOR SUPPLY CONNECTIONS USE WIRE SUITABLE FOR AT LEAST 90 C CLEANING To clean wipe fixture with a soft cloth Clean glass with a mild soap Do not use abrasive materials such as scouring pads or powders steel wool or abrasive paper ORDERING PARTS Keep this sheet for future reference and in case you need to order replacement parts Parts for this fixture can be ordered from place of purchase Be sure to use exact wording from illustration when ordering parts FOR CHAIN HUNG QUTLET BOX JN WIRE T
3. e three rods K to the canopy Z with lock washer and nuts L FOR FLUSH MOUNT OUTLET BOX OUTLET BOX SCREWS WIRE CONNECTOR amp GROUND WIRE MOUNTING AR A MOUNTING NIPPLE C SCREWS 1 NUT S LOCK WASHER T CANOPY Z CAP NUTS U FIGURE 2 NOT INCLUDED INSTALLATION HC 1505 FINAL ASSEMBLY IMPORTANT DO NOT ATTACH FIXTURE DIRECTLY TO OUTLET BOX Make sure no bare wires can be seen outside wire connectors FOR CHAIN HUNG Figure 1 FOR CHAIN HUNG STEP 1 STEP 1 Secure mounting bar A to outlet box with outlet box screws not supplied After wires are connected tuck them carefully inside outlet box and then raise Thread nut B on nipple C so that 3 threads are exposed above nut B the canopy G against ceiling and screw the screw collar ring F to the screw Thread nipple C into mounting bar A and secure with nut B Attach screw collar H collar H to nipple C STEP 2 STEP 2 Install self ballasted lamp W by gently twisting socket X Using 2 pairs of pliers or chain pliers open one link of chain N and connect it to the fixture loop V at the top of the fixture When using pliers please open chain outward not in a twisting motion FOR FLUSH MOUNT STEP 3 Slide the screw collar ring F and canopy G in that order over chain N STEP 1 Open one link on the other end of the chain N and attach it to the screw Aft ted tock is wiy asid etbor Raise ih co
4. llar H which has been mounted to the ceiling nipple C BE SURE TO Cn re a E E A CLOSE ALL CHAIN LINKS COMPLETELY canopy Z to the ceiling allowing for mounting screws I to protrude through holes in canopy Z Secure in place with cap nuts U lS il STEP 2 Lace wires up through chain N and pass wires through holes in screw collar DN H We recommend lacing wire up through every other link of chain N Install self ballasted lamp W by gently twisting socket x FOR FLUSH MOUNT STEP 1 Thread fixture mounting screws I in through top of mounting bar A raised side is on top as illustrated Run screw threads I all the way down to the heads Secure mounting bar A to outlet box with outlet box screws not supplied STEP 1 A Use a listed wire connector to connect the fixture hot wire black wire or round and smooth tracer to the supply hot wire B Use a listed wire connector to connect the fixture common wire white wire or Square and rigid to the supply common wire C Gently try to remove the wires from the connector If you can remove the wires carefully re do the wiring connection STEP 2 GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS The green grounding screw D is to be inserted into the hole with two raised dimples provided on the mounting bar A Wrap the ground wire E from the fixture if supplied and the ground wire FIXTU RES WITH A ON E Pl ECE from the outlet box bare metal or green insulated wire aro
