1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIXTURE 4931 WARNING SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER AVERTISSEMENT COUPER LE COURANT AU NIVEAU DES FUSIBLES OU DU DISJONCTEUR ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE FIG 1 1 Shut off the power supply at the fuse box or circuit breaker If necessary remove the old fixture from ceiling including the mounting hardware 2 Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts are included as shown in the illustration 3 Determine the desired hanging height and thread tubes H to the nipple I on the fixture body Pass the wires carefully through each tube as you assemble 4 Then thread the top end of the tubes H tightly onto the nipple G on the swivel F 5 Put the glass shade K over the socket J and secure with cushion ring L and socket ring M 6 Install the bulbs in accordance with the fixture s specifications DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING NE PAS DEPASSER LA PUISSANCE NOMINALE MAXIMALE MOUNTING THE FIXTURE 7 Attach the cross bar A to the outlet box using the outlet box screws C The side of the cross bar marked GND must face out 8 Follow the wiring instructions carefully See Fig 2 9 Attach the fixture main body onto the cross bar A by protruding 2 mounting screws B through the mounting holes of the ceiling canopy D and secure with ball nut E Tene The Wires See fig 2 At this point connect the electrical wires as2. shown in figure 2 making sure that all wire connectors are secured outlet box has a ground wire green or bare copper the ground wire from the fixture to it Otherwise connect the fixture s ground wire directly to the cross bar using the green screw provided After wires are connected tuck them carefully into the ceiling junction box Fig 1 Set A A 010 Crossbar Ground Screw Mounting screws 2 lL CROSS BAR A IOUNTING SCREWS B id r i Gas ase OUTLET BOX gl a IPPLY WIRE gt WIRE NUT GREEN GROUND SCREW OUTLET BOX SCREWS C c CANY D Rod W32 1 281 Rod W30 H 281 N ST 1 L BALL NUTE SWIVEL F NIPPLE G TUBE H NIPPLE SOCKETU GLASS SHADE K CUSHION RING L Your installation is now complete Return power to the junction box to test the fixture Tom SOCKET RING M Socket Ring SKT RING 26 Fig 2 FIXTURE FIXTURE 7 FIXTURE WIRES WIRES WIRES Black or White or Bare Smooth Ribbed Copper L A L Ground HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE WIRES WIRES WIRES Black White Green Hot Neutral Ground american lb sre Intertek lighting association
