1. Setting Material Flow The flow of material to the pad is determined by the handle trigger and flow control dial Trigger Material will flow to the pad whenever the trigger is pulled Material will stop flowing when the trigger is released Note The trigger may stick during first use This is normal Flow Control Dial a Roll the Flow Control Dial backward and this will limit the amount of travel in the trigger thereby allowing less material to flow to the pad This is recommended when using thinner materials b Roll the Flow Control Dial forward and this will give the trigger full travel thereby allowing more material to flow to the pad This is recommended when using thicker materials N y b Loading the pad 1 Depending upon the thickness of the coating material set the Flow Control Dial forward thicker or backwards thinner 2 Squeeze and hold the handle trigger to release material from the container to the pad Help saturate the pad and brush assembly by gently brushing the pad along the surface you plan to cover while holding the handle trigger Note The pad and brush assembly works similar to a sponge When nearing the end of your project make sure to use as much of the material remaining in the pad in order to minimize dripping General Renuvo Tips Surface Preparation e Make sure the surface is clean and dry prior to staining It is a good idea to wash the s

3. urface with a high pressure sprayer prior to applying material Make sure the surface has ample time to dry prior to beginning the project Material Preparation If you need more than one gallon of material to complete your project mix them together to ensure color uniformity Write down the important information from your material can color formula brand and material type for future reference Staining the Surface e Place the pad flat on the deck boards and begin staining Use a back and forth motion to completely saturate the surface Always finish the stroke toward the front end of the pad This will reduce streaking and ensure an even coating e Line up the gap in the deckboards a with the guide on the top of the pad assembly b as shown below This will ensure that the gaps are covered in material Note Move the Renuvo in a gentle back and forth brushing motion in order to ensure material seeps into deckboard gaps lt a e When using the pad and brush assembly always work from left side of your work area to the right side of the work area SS Pull the trigger as needed for more material Be careful not to over saturate the pad as it may drip slide on the surface or spatter e For best results maintain a steady flow of material to the pad and avoid allowing it to dry Note A second coat may need to be applied later in order to acheive full coverage or finish you are looking
