6. 12 2 5 10 2 5 Electrical Connection Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person This appliance must be earthed The manufacturer declines any liability should these safety measures not be observed Electrical Requirements Before switching on make sure the electricity supply voltage is the same as that indicated on the appliance rating plate The appliance is supplied with a 13 amp plug fitted In the event of having to change the fuse in the plug supplied a 13 amp ASTA approved BS 1362 fuse must be used Should the plug need to be replaced for any reason The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code Green and Yellow Earth Blue Neutral Brown Live The wire coloured green and yellow must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter or by the earth symbol S or coloured green and yellow The wire coloured blue must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured black The wire coloured brown must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured red Upon completion there must be no cut or stray strands of wire present and the cord clamp must be secure over the outer sheath C This appliance com

8. a suitable temperature and that it may have lost its original quality Partially thawed food must not be refrozen it must be consumed within 24 hours Never exceed the storage times indicated Do not open the ice making compartment door too often and do not leave open longer than necessary Important In the event of a power cut the food in the ice making compartment will not be affected if the power cut is short and if the compartment is full Do not open the door Should the food begin to thaw It must be consumed quickly and must not be refrozen Energy Saving Advice Do not install the cabinet close to sources of heat such as a cooker dishwasher or radiator Locate the appliance in a cool well ventilated room and make sure that the air openings of the cabinet are not obstructed e Always leave warm food to cool down to room temperature before placing in the fridge e Try to avoid keeping the door open for long periods or opening the door too frequently as warm air will enter the cabinet and cause the compressor to switch on unnecessarily often e Ensure there are no obstructions preventing the door from closing properly is advisable to periodically clean the refrigeration system at the back of the appliance with a duster or vacuum cleaner Maintenance amp Cleaning Before any maintenance cleaning work is carried out DISCONNECT the appliance from the ELECTRICITY SUPPLY In

14. e is correct for each climate classification 11 Ventilation Requirements The appliance must have adequate ventilation to ensure correct operation Diagram shows the ventilation requirements when Installed A Under a worktop or Cupboard The clearance space of 10 cm above the appliance may be reduced to 5 cm providing a clearance space 2 5 cm is left on either side of the appliance B When freestanding Door Reversal lf required the opening direction of the door can be changed as follows To reverse the door proceed as follows e Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply Remove the top hinge cover e Unscrew the 2 retaining screws and remove the hinge from the appliance e Take the door off e Unscrew the lower hinge retaining screws and remove the hinge according to the diagram e Fit the lower hinge on the opposite side Fix the door onto the lower hinge pin To fit top door hinge remove the plastic blanking plugs carefully and refit them in the holes left by the hinge retaining screws e Refit the top hinge using the 2 retaining screws taking care that the edge of the door Is parallel with side of the cabinet Replace the hinge cover Remove screw covers if fitted and handle retaining screws Remove blanking plugs on the opposite side Relocate the handle to the opposite side and refit retaining screws covers if fitted and replace the blanking plugs

21. ternal Cleaning Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda 5 ml to 0 5 litre of water Rinse and dry thoroughly NEVER use detergents abrasive powders highly perfumed cleaning products or wax polishes to clean the interior as these will damage the surface and leave a strong odour External Cleaning Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water When the appliance 15 not in use When the appliance is not in use for long periods disconnect from the electricity supply empty all foods and clean the appliance leaving the door open to prevent unpleasant smells Defrosting While the appliance Is in operation the ice making compartment becomes progressively covered with frost This frost acts as an insulator and prevents the cold from reaching the food The frost should be removed whenever the thickness of the frost exceeds 1 4 To carry out complete defrosting proceed as follows Pull out the plug from the wall socket or turn the thermostat control knob to the O position Leave the fridge and ice making compartment doors open when defrosting is completed dry the appliance thoroughly Remove any defrost water collected in the tray Replace the plug in the socket or return the thermostat to the initial position and after letting the appliance run for at least an hour place the food in the evaporator compartment Something Not Working If the appliance is not working correctly p
