3. e dryer temperature selection See page in your Dryer Guide for more information End of cycle signal Mixed loads When drying a load with different kinds and weights of fabrics use the cycle suggested forthe lightest fab rics When the dryer stops remove dry items and reset the control To reduce wrinkling take the load from dryer as soon as tumbling stops This is important for permanent press knits and synthetic fabrics The dryer sounds a signal to let you know when the cycle is finished The signal cannot be stops turned off and is not adjustable The signal is helpful when you are drying permanent press synthetics and other items that should be taken out as soon as the dryer Lint screen Clean the lint screen before each load A screen blocked by lint can increase drying time and may be a FIRE HAZARD Open the lid and pull the lint screen ROLL the lint offthe screen straight out with your fingers WARNING DO NOT run the DO NOT rinse or wash the screen dryer with the lint screen Push the screen firmly back into or Metelo de place Doing so can cause over heating can damage fabrics and can be a FIRE HAZARD Lint removal Lint can gather inside the dryer and create a fire hazard This lint should be removed every 2 to 3 years or more often depending on dryer usage Funnel 7 Heat Element Terminals ELECTRIC DRYERS GAS DRYERS Cleaning

9. ing tips FLUFF AIR gi me The dryer does not heat when the Temperature Selector is set on FLUFF AIR This setting can be used fo fluff bedding plastic tablecloths foam rubber pillows stuffed toys sneakers etc WARNING Drying plas tic or rubber items with heat may damage the items or be a FIRE HAZARD 4 Turn the Temperature Selector to FLUFF AIR 2 Turn the Control Knob to the num ber of minutes you want in the TIMED DRYING Cycle 3 Push the START Button TUMBLE PRESS Setting The TUMBLE PRESS setting removes wrinkles from dry clothing such as items that may have been packed in a suitcase closet or items not removed from the dryer 7 DRYNESS SELECTOR 4 Set Control Knob to TUMBLE PRESS 2 Set Temperature Selector to PERM PRESS MED 3 Push START Button The load will tumble in heated air for 10 minutes The heat shuts off and the dryer continues to tumble the load for 5more minutes For best results TUMBLE PRESS only a few items ata time Put them on hangers or fold them as soon as the dryer stops O vu m 7 gt 2 Z o Zz mn wa 9 O zZ nm o Q xa y O vu m Drying times Drying times will vary depending on e amount of moisture inthe clothes etype and weightof the fabric e size of the load e room temperature around the dryer e temperature of the wash rinse water e amount of lintin the lint screen
10. ods to avoid staining later load items Powdered laundry detergent and very warm water Make a paste with detergent and very warm water Apply paste to a soft cloth and scrub area until all excess dye is removed Wipe thor oughly with a damp cloth Tumble a load of rags OR Liquid spray household cleaner Spray on stained area Rub with a cloth until all excess dye is re moved Tumble a load of rags Vacation care e Unplug power cord or turn off elec trical power e For gas dryers close gas valve e Clean lint screen Changing the drum light W WARNING Unplug the dryer to avoid possible electric shock 4 Open the dryer door and remove 2 Remove the light bulb by turning light bulb cover by turning it it counterclockwise clockwise 3 Replace the bulb only with a 4 Replace the light bulb cover 40 watt appliance bulb from most and lock itin place by turning hardware grocery or variety stores counterclockwise CAUTION The bulb cover must be securely in place during dryer opera tion to prevent overheating and possible damage to fabrics Operating the dryer with the bulb cover removed can cause the dryer to fall or create a FIRE HAZARD EN ei INOA JOJ DNIJVI If you need service or assistance we suggest you follow these four steps 1 Before calling for assistance Performance problems often result from little things you can find and f x yourself without tools of any kind
