1. Liquid fabric softener dispenser 1 Add detergent and load to the basket 2 Add liquid fabric softener to the dispenser using the amount recom mended on the bottle Avoid dripping or spilling any fabric softener on the load 3 Add enough hot water to fill the dispenser to the FULL mark 4 Diluted fabric softener will be added to the load when the washer stops spinning after the wash cycle NOTE Do not stop the washer dur ing this spin If you do the fabric soft ener will be added to the remaining soapy wash water This will cause stains 5 Clean dispenser after each use with warm water Do not put detergent in dispenser it could cause dispenser to clog To remove the dispenser pull on the top portion Replace after cleaning For more information on fabric softeners see the Laundry Guide What happens in each pre wash option Use Pre Wash Options to provide extra cleaning to heavily soiled or stained items For best results use warm water for soaking or pre washing stained items The HOT WATER Option cannot be selected with any Pre Wash Options Hot water can set stains NOTE When combining the SUPER WASH Option with a wash cycle it is necessary to select the SUPER WASH Option before the washer starts to fill Soak Cycle Option Brief periods of agitation and soak time help remove heavy soils and certain stains that need extra pretreatment Use recommended amount of detergent SOAK

5. for detailed times oO Ey 0 z a So Restarting your washer The washer is designed to remember where it was in the cycle when the HOLD RESTART Pad is touched It will not remember if there is a power inter ruption such as a blown fuse If power is lost at beginning of wash cycle 1 Touch Power ON 2 Touch Fabric Selection and options The washer will finish filling if needed and wash according to the new selections If power is lost with water remaining in the washer 1 Touch Power ON 2 Touch SPIN to drain and spin the load 3 After the washer stops touch Power ON again 4 Touch Fabric Selection and options The washer will wash according to the new selections If memory is lost at beginning of rinse cycle 1 Touch Power ON 2 Touch RINSE SPIN to finish filling and or the rinsing cycle Operating Instructions Continued Liquid bleach dispenser Always measure bleach Do not guess Never use more than 1 cup 250 mL tor a full load Use less with lower water level settings Follow directions on bottle for safe use Use a cup witha pouring spout to avoid spilling 1 Load the washer first 2 Pour measured bleach carefully into dispenser Do not let bleach splash drip or run down into washer basket Undiluted bleach will damage any fabric it touches 3 Start the washer Bleach will be diluted automatically during the wash part of the cycle
6. 1and 12 for recom mended wash times Time display The Time Display shows the total amount of wash agitation time selected When the first fill begins the display changes to AU indicating automatic operation e Any time during wash agitation the MORE TIME or LESS TIME Pad can be touched The display will show the number of minutes left in wash agitation e During the final rinse the display changes to show the number of min utes left until the cycle is finished and the load can be removed Proper and improper selections The washer is designed to help you choose selections for the best washing results 1 For fabric protection the washer will not accept certain selections The indicator lights will not stay on and 3 beeps will sound when a selection is not accepted 2 When a selection is accepted the indicator light for that selection comes on and stays on and one beep will sound The washer will use the Fabric Selection and options you selected PERM T PRESS 3 When one indicator light comes on but another goes off this tells you the second selection has canceled the first NOTE The REG HEAVY Indicator Light goes off when the PERM T PRESS Indicator Light comes on 4 For best fabric care and washability maximum and minimum wash times are preprogrammed for each cycle The washer will not accept less time than the minimum wash time or more time than the maximum wash time See pages 11 and 12

16. s Continued 14 Rinse Spin Option This option is for loads needing rinse and spin only Also useful for finishing a cycle that s been canceled by a power interruption or by turning power off Spin Option This option drains and spins loads or items that only need the water spun out of them This option is also useful for loads canceled by a power interruption DRAIN No Agitation High Speed or Low Option Spin cancels all other selections The washer Starts draining and spinning right away NOTE RINSE SPIN and SPIN Options are pre set for high speed rinse and or spin For a low speed rinse and spin touch KNITS GENTLE before you select RINSE SPIN or SPIN This also shortens the spin time by 2 minutes Cycle signals There are two cycle signals that sound signals as an operating convenience The end of cycle signal beeps 5 times at the end of a wash cycle This tells you the wash is done and the load can be removed The deep rinse signal beeps once at the beginning of the deep rinse portion of the cycle This tells you the washer is filling for the final rinse To cancel both signals touch the CYCLE SIGNAL Pad The Cycle Signal Indicator Light will go off This tells you the signals are turned off MAGIC CLEAN lint filter The lint filter in your washer cleans itself Collected lint is drained away with the wash and rinse water If your washer drains into a tub remove any lint collec
