1. 6. does not record message The messages on the answering system are incomplete The messages on the system are very difficult to hear 47 Suggestion e Make sure the answering system is on When the answering system is on the red light on the ANSWER ON OFF key should be lit If Toll Saver is activated the number of rings changes to two when there are new messages waiting see page 28 If the memory is full or if the answering system is off the system will answer after ten rings In some cases the answering system be affected by the ringing system used by the local telephone company When recording the announcement make sure you speak in a normal tone of voice about nine inches from the telephone base Make sure there is no background noise television music traffic etc when recording Make sure the answering system is on If a caller leaves a very long message part of it may be lost when the system disconnects the call after 90 seconds If the memory on the system becomes full during a message the system stops recording and disconnects the call If the caller s voice is very soft the system may stop recording and disconnect the call Press VOL Ae on the side of the handset or on the telephone base to increase the speaker volume www vtechphones com Troubleshooting Problem Suggestion The answering system Make sure your remote access code is correct see page 29 does not respond to Make sure you a
