Standard Press V to select Auto Channel Update and use lt or gt to select On 15 DVB Character Set The character set to be used for DVB C or DVT B channels can be set manually Standard Table 0 or Western Table 5 1 In the SETUP menu press W to highlight DTV Settings and press OK DTV Settings Channels Channel Options Subtitle and Audio PIN Setting Parental Control Local Time Setting Auto Channel Update Press V to select DVB Character Set and use lt or P to select between Standard or West Analogue Switch off This is a digital television which is integrated to allow the use of both digital and analogue services However during the lifetime of this set it is very likely that analogue services will be switched off to allow for more new digital services This switch off will happen in a number of phases which will be advertised in your area well in advance It is recommended that at each phase the television is re tuned to ensure that existing and new digital services can be viewed without disruption DTV sorting channels skipping channels NOTE When the television is switched off the mode being viewed at the time will automatically be selected when the television is switched back on Sorting Channels The channel order may be changed to suit personal preference Press MENU and select the SETUP menu Use V to move down through the list and highlight DTV Settings

The effect depends on the broadcast and is most noticeable on dark colours Picture controls continued Static Gamma The Static Gamma feature allows the adjustment of levels of black in the picture In the Advanced Picture Settings menu press to highlight Static Gamma 2 Press lt q or gt to select adjust the level MPEG NR Noise Reduction When watching a DVD the compression may cause some words or picture elements to become distorted or pixelated Using the MPEG NR feature reduces this effect by smoothing out the edges In the Advanced Picture Settings menu press to highlight Noise Reduction then press OK Press V to select MPEG NR Noise Reduction DNR Press lt or gt to select between Low Middle High or Off DNR Digital Noise Reduction DNR enables you to soften the screen representation of a weak signal to reduce the noise effect Select DNR from the Noise Reduction menu Use lt q or gt to select between Auto Off Low Middle or High The differences may not always be noticeable for the best result use lower settings as picture quality can be lost if the setting is too high Resolution This features modifies SD quality pictures to near HD quality levels the levels can be selected for personal preference In the Advanced Picture Settings menu press Y to select Resolution then press OK 27 Resolution Level Press W to select Resolution and using
