1. Do not yet connect the to the mains Plug must be correctly installed on the coaxial cable of the LN B Remove the cable sheath fold back the braid ensure that the central strand of the cable does not touch the braid to avoid a short circuit and manually turn the plug to tighten it on the coaxial cable INSTALLATION OF SATELLITE RECEIVER Connect the LN B coaxial cable to Socket IF IN PUT A You can if applicable connect a second LNB to IF IN PUT B connector 5 Plug F must be tightened by hand on the threading of the plug Do not use any tools Take care not to jam the plug You can now connect your equipment to the mains power supply To do this connect one of the ends of the mains cable to connector 10 on the receiver and the other end to a mains socket Our description of the receiver assumes that the set has been installed according to instructions 1 Connection to a Television Set Using a SCART cable supplied connect the Socket 6 TV SCART of your receiver to the SCA RT socket of your Television Set This connection provides optimum picture and sound quality 2 Connection to a VCR Using a SCART cable not supplied connect the Socket 8 VCR SCART of your receiver to the SCART socket of your VCR The equipment is operated using a cascade connection The video recorder images will be transmitted to the TV through the TV SCART connector 6 if

PROGRAMMING NEW CHANNEL Your receiver is already programmed to receive the most important satellite signals You can however change the programming or add new channels at any time To store a new channel in memory you need the following information found in specialist satellite TV magazines 1 LNB selection 3 Video frequency and ToneBurst signal 4 Audio mode 2 Polarisation 5 Audio frequency First selectthe programme number you wish to assign to the new channel and then follow the instructions 1 Selection of LNB and of ToneBurst signal You can connect 2 LN Bs to your receiver e g ASTRA and EUTELSAT 1 satellites Connect the LN Bs respectively to connectors 4 and 5 IF IN PUT A B In addition your receiver can supply ToneBurst DiSEqC control signals This function allows connecting 4 LN Bs to your receiver The LN Bs must be connected in 2s to each of the IF IN PUTs 4 and 5 through a ToneBurst switch LNB Press the key to display the current mode e g LnA 1 Press the key again to select the further mode DISPLAY LNB ToneBurst SIGNAL DISPLAY LNB ToneBurst SIGNAL LnA 1 A1 A Position Lnb1 B1 A Position LnA 2 A2 B Position Lnb2 B2 B Position 2 Polarisation Selection To allow transmission of the greatest possible number of programmes satellite broadcasts come in two polarisations vertical and horizontal Press the key to display the current polarisat
