1. Step 2 Remove the Battery Pack Locate the two tabs as shown in the picture One is on the left end of the battery pack and the other is located on the right side Using your thumbs and fingers push both tabs in the release direction gently push the battery pack away from you Step 3 Locate ODD Bay with ODD facing you as shown in the picture the Bay Rotate Optical the computer Disk Drive P N 994641300 Rev C 1 2 VGN AR Senes Optical Disk Drive Replacement Instructions Step 4 Remove the ODD Bay Step 5 To initiate the removal of the Using the enclosed magnetic ODD Bay pull slightly the ODD door screwdriver loosen up the three 3 as shown in the picture screws securing the ODD Bay Step 7 Hold the new ODD Bay by Step amp With an even force slide in the edges and align it with the the new ODD Bay opening Step 11 Reinstall the three 3 previously removed screws 2 2 Step amp With even force slide out the ODD as shown Some force may be required to unlock the ODD from the connector Fa Step 9 Make sure the new ODD Bay is seating flush on the edge of the computer Step 12 Reinstall the battery pack Return the old ODD to Sony following the included shipping instructions2.
