ICNIRP INFORMATION ON RF EXPOSURE SPECIFIC ABSORPTION RATE SAR THIS MOBILE PHONE MEETS THE LIMITS FOR PROTECTION OF THE HEALTH OF THE PUBLIC FROM THE EFFECTS OF EXPOSURE TO ELECTRO MAGNETIC FIELDS Your mobile phone is a radio trans mitter and receiver It is designed and manufactured not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio fre quency RF energy recommended by international guidelines from the International Commission on Non lonizing Radiation Protection ICNIRP These limits are part of comprehensive guidelines for the protection of the public and estab lish permitted levels of RF energy for the population The guidelines were confirmed by independent scientific organisations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific studies The limits include a sub stantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all persons regardless of age and health The exposure limit for mobile phones employs a unit of measure ment known as the Specific Absorp tion Rate or SAR The SAR limit stated in the international guidelines is 2 0 Wikg Tests for SAR are con ducted in all frequency bands using standard operating positions with the phone transmitting at its highest power level The actual SAR level of the phone during operation can be well below the maximum value This is because the phone is designed to operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the power required to reach the network In
