8. tive ions to the airflow to freshen your indoor environment To cancel press the button again Note Use of this feature increases negative ion output and may increase soot buildup near the product 10 Cleaning the Collection Grid Clean the grid every one or two weeks As a reminder the clean ing indicator light will turn green after two weeks If the cleaning indicator light turns red the unit has shut down because of exces sive dirt or circuitry problems In many cases a thorough cleaning will return the unit to normal operation Before cleaning unplug the unit collection Grid Remove the collection grid Release Latch by releasing the latch and pulling the grid from the top of the unit Use a dry or slightly damp towel or sponge to quickly wipe the dust from each of the three collection bars Before replacing the grid invert the entire unit two or three times 11 Thorough Cleaning If the unit makes noise during operation a thorough cleaning of the grid grills and internal ionizing wires may be required Unplug the unit before cleaning Release the OzoneGuard front grill and back grill by lifting the blue release tabs on the bottom of the grills To remove slide the grill up Note The OzoneGuard cannot be detached from the front grill The OzoneGuard has sharp edges use caution when cleaning Use a hair dryer to blow dust from the interior or a vacuum to remove the dust The
