1. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Before using make sure your hair is clean dry and tangle free For best results use steam However the product can be used without steam if you prefer DO NOT get too close to scalp Hold unit only by the handle as other areas get hot when in use Use only water in the reservoir except when cleaning It is important to regularly clean the unit to prevent any build up in the water reservoir DO NOT use an abrasive cleaning fluid or material to clean the coated plates as damage will occur Instead use warm water and a soft cloth DO NOT scratch the surface of the plates as this will deteriorate the effectiveness of the non stick Teflon coating OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Ik N w wn o D With the unit switched off and unplugged grip the water reservoir at both sides Push in the tabs and pull away from the unit Twist the wick holder to the right by 90 degrees and pull away from the reservoir Fill the unit with water replace the wick holder and turn 90 degrees to lock again Do not remove wick from wick holder as damage could occur Snap the reservoir back into place by lining up the tabs on either side of the unit Select the plates you wish to use Release plates by sliding the thumb tab at the front of the plate toward the front of the unit and releasing the plates with your other hand If you are using the straightening plates you may wish to2.
